LA Fitness - Gym in Levittown - 3601C Hempstead Tpke, USA

If you are in the area of Levittown, wantagh, seaford or Hempstead, La fitness is a great gym for you. They have great staff to get you feeling welcomed here. Amar is one of their many staff member he is a sales representative and one of the managers here and will help you get great deals on the gym and show you how great it can be. I’ve workout here for almost 4 years and the people and staff here are amazing and super kind, I definitely recommend you come and check it out

8 months later (September 26th 2023) ALL these machines REMAIN BROKEN! This place needs to be fined and shutdown! What a fn mess. What are we paying for????????? If I could give this Levittown location ZERO stars, I would! As of today, the same 13 treadmills that have been broken for MONTHS (almost a year) are still broken. Even the ones that "work" sometimes stop midway so suddenly and drastically that I've almost fallen off. Then they either stop working completely, or it takes a few minutes for them to restart. The locker room is FILTHY! it is a miracle that this place has not been shut down yet. One time there was a flood in the bathroom and I alerted the staff at 4 because, again, I slipped and almost fell. Guess what? I finished my work out at 5:15 and the bathroom was STILL flooded (even more so) and it smelled horribly. In fact, it always smells. The trash cans are constantly overflowing to the point where there are paper towels all over the floor, right next to the lovely mouse traps. I even heard a girl complain that there was black mold in the women's showers. Speaking of smell, the place smells like weed! It is filled with rowdy teenagers that crowd around machines and play fight with each other without any consideration for the members that are waiting. Does anyone say anything? Nope! Management is nonexistent. Random weight machines? BROKEN and pins missing. Weights? Unracked and all over the place, an unholy disorganized mess! I have never seen or experienced anything like it. And you would have to be INSANE to use their pool or the sauna. I have seen members packed like sardines inside the sauna room and I'm referring to shoulder to shoulder here. That cannot be sanitary, it is disgusting. PLUS, they have the balls to charge a MAINTENANCE FEE!!! For what? They do not maintain anything. Those rowdy teenagers might as well manage this place. Even the mice that the traps are set for would make better managers. It is a HORRIBLE place to work out at. I am shocked that corporate has allowed for this to transpire for so long and even more shocked at the fact that no one has gotten hurt (yet). If this filthy place wasn't conveniently located close to work, I would NEVER set foot in it. If you're thinking of joining, DO NOT even think about it. You might as well work out in a dark and musky basement in the dead of winter.

Don’t trust the good reviews. All the machines are filthy and falling apart with a majority of them out of service. The weights are all over the place. Dirt and grime all over the machines. Garbage everywhere. None of the TVs work. No customer service. Do not waste your money!!! So many people I know are cancelling their memberships here.

Members are disgusting here. Between not re racking their weights, dumbbells being all over the place and using machines as actual garbage cans? This is horrible. Not to mention cleaning crew/staff must clearly see this and leaves it unattended. 🤮🤮🤮

Joined LA Fitness last month and I only have great things to say. The employees are friendly, nonjudgmental, and supportive to their members. Patrick & Jay, specifically, keep me motivated to reach my fitness goals. I would highly recommend this location to my family & friends.

This place is poorly managed, 70% of equipment is out of order and manager doesn’t care. Bathrooms are dirty and always out of paper towels, when it is brought to the staff’s attention they also don’t care! Management is the one to blame for this

One word: DISGUSTING. This gym is beyond dirty. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in YEARS. Dust all over the machines and floor. There is literally a WAD of dust hanging off the machines- my allergies started to act up. The gym is suppose to be a place where you get your health up not watch it deteriorate due to the lack of cleanliness around the place. None of the tvs work. Half the time there’s no cold water in the faucets. Just overall the most grossest gym i’ve ever been too.

UPDATE (7/17)- No hot water in the gym Terrible gym. They’ve closed the basketball hoops, water fountain was out of service for weeks and they put it back into service for it to not work again. Only one water fountain for the entire gym to use. There’s only two Incline bench presses and one is out of service (they literally took the seat off). Several sinks are out of service. Soup dispensers do not work. Rope attachments are broken. Only thing this gym has going for it is the monthly. If you get a good deal I guess it’s okay. But who would pay a dollar for a gym like this when you can pay more for somewhere with better amenities and up keep? On top of this, they’re taking away so many things from you and keeping the monthly fee the same. Will be shopping around for other gyms in the area.
