LA Fitness - Gym in Union - 1235 W Chestnut St, USA

This is pretty much the first review I've written in a very long time, but credit has to be given where credit is due. I joined up at the gym back in June 2023, and the experience was pleasurable from the start. Everyone at the facility is courteous, and kind. John is always a great smiling face to see to make you feel at home, and have a little chit-chat with. I do have to give a big THANK YOU, and 5 of his own stars to my PT Chris. His focus and dedication to his craft was a welcome surprise. His knowledge of the body and nutrition as well is unsurpassed by any previous training I have ever had. Making me feel confident in the progression every time I was under his training was an added bonus. No intimidation, no regrets. Definitely a prime example of a great trainer and even better person. It was always like working out with that friend that has your back when your not sure what you're doing. Thanks a ton Chris!

This place is horrible. There's absolutely no yoga mats available for members. Weights are all over the place and the cables have limited attachments, might as well buy your own to bring. Bathrooms are always dirty. Machines are broken for months. Good luck getting a decent work out here, it wont happen. Gym etiquette doesn’t exist here.

I’ve been going to this gym for 8 months now. It’s clean, organized, and the staffs are friendly. Chris has been my personal trainer for the past 5 months. He is amazing! He keeps me on track with my fitness goals, give nutritional advice, and pushes me to my limits. He went above my expectations. Although I’m not at my end goal, I feel more confident and committed to working out. Lastly, this gym is a comfortable environment where everyone minds their business.

I have been going to La Fitness over the past few months and have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of this new community. Staff has been very welcoming and always greets you with positivity, encouragement, and enthusiasm. The locker rooms are clean and well kept with a good variety of equipment to meet my needs. I love using the indoor pool when I can, which is always kept at a warm, comfortable temperature. I take personal training classes with my daughter and our trainer Chris has been such a pleasure to work with. He made us feel comfortable from the very beginning and is extremely patient and pushes us to do exercises that we wouldn’t ordinarily perform without his motivation and support. I also take Zumba classes with Mauricio which is always a fun way to start my mornings. He always brings lots of energy and enthusiasm to his classes and I’m always excited to return for the next session. I will highly recommend La Fitness, and I’m so grateful for my terrific trainers/instructors Chris and Mauricio for motivating me to stay committed during my fitness journey.

I tried personal training for the first time and was lucky enough to be with Chris. He was very knowledgeable about what he does and looks a the whole picture. He doesn't just focus on the exercises but cares about your nutrition and how you are progressing. In general, I am impressed with the Gym and staff as a whole. John is very welcoming and his fitness classes on Saturdays are the best!

I’ve tried plenty of gyms but la fitness by far has been my favorite! From the energy to the aesthetics I love everything about this gym. I’ve finally decided to get a personal trainer and I’m grateful with the decision i made . My trainer Chris has done nothing but make my gym experience great . He pushes me to my full potential and doesn’t let me give up. Not only that he makes sure he gives me meals plans and stay on top of things even when i don’t have a session with him. I also love that when i come to the gym if i don’t have a session he still gives assistance and help me perfect my forms and more . If you’re looking for a great gym with great energy and people . La fitness is the gym and Chris is your guy!

I trained with Jarmail and he does not come to play okay!! He listens to my fitness goals and has the best workouts that has me feeling sore but strong. You don’t think you could do it and he’ll encourage you and push you until you can. Always a good workout with him

When you walk in you are always greeted and well informed. The gym is clean, weights are racked. Linda was very helpful and thorough during my tour and explained everything I needed to do to get started. Its not about selling, they actually want to help people improve and change there life around by staying active. The plans are broken down step by step very clearly. I would recommend this to a friend.
