Kolob Canyons Visitor Center - Visitor center in New Harmony - 3752 E Kolob Canyon Rd, USA

Really small center for a real amazing part of the park. The staff and rangers were great. Super helpful, knowledgeable and polite. It gets the job done but they should move some of the money from Zion of this way. Amazing vistas and beautiful hikes. Part of the scenic route, about the last two miles got washed out last year and hasn’t been repaired yet. You are able to park and hike on the road the last bit if you like, which we did and it was great.

A peaceful section of Zion National Park that is conveniently located between St. George and Cedar City. The road is scenic and leads you to excellent vistas. I recommend sunrise and sunset for views. There is a 7 mile trail that leads to a massive arch. If choosing to hike this, come prepared with water and supplies. The visitor center has park rangers who are knowledgeable and helpful. Keep in mind that the visitor center closes around 5 pm mountain time zone.

You need to see this national park. It’s every bit as good as Zion. You just don’t have the crowds that Zion park has. Presently there is road construction going on from recent flash flooding. So some of the park is closed.

Here in Sept 2023. Nice little gift shop and information from the ranger at the visitor center. If you are going in the park you pay park fee or show your pass to the ranger at the visitor center. Very friendly. Even though half the road is closed now for repairs, the view at the end of the open part of the road is amazing.

Don't follow Google maps!!!!!!! It led us to the wrong place and we had to drive back the way we came from for 2 hrs! Follow waze or apple maps. Overall the canyons were beautiful and the tunnel was the longest one I've ever went through.

Kolob Canyon, Taylor Creek. Very nice hike, not much elevation but it'll take 3.5hours round trip. It's a peaceful, quiet place.

Kolab Canyon is a beautiful place. About an hour drive from Zion's SW entrance. The drive in the canyon is 5 miles, but the road is closed at the 3 mile point. There is a parking lot and a vault restroom at the 3 mile point, but can't go up any further at this point.

Absolutely beautiful hike along Taylor Creek. About 5.8 miles round trip. Not that difficult, I'm not in the best of shape and I completed it. Stunning views of the red rock mountains. Final destination is not as beautiful as the hike there. Worth your time!! We made some friends on the trail.
