Definitely wanted to stop by while visiting Biloxi during a weekend trip to see the names of those lost and pay our respects. We were definitely disappointed in the up keep of that entire block. Over grown grass and plants. Fading paint and the need for some pressure washing. It sorta looked like it may be a sleep area for the homeless although we didn’t see anyone. We never felt unsafe, just wished that it could be maintained better.

Pitiful! I bet this memorial was really nice years ago. I had never been and was really looking forward to seeing it. I went around 2:30 pm on a Friday. There was a homeless man asleep and someone had taken a sledgehammer to the glass case. I wonder why no one cares about it anymore.

Quite inspiring knowing how a cat 5 hurricane can do just like Camille in 1969! The precious things retrieved showing how God prevales! A little girls Angel wings encased in the memory bank display! Over 30' wave of destruction, unless you've lived here u have no clue!

Very cool quick stop. The top of the memorial wall is representitive of the water level during Katrina. There is an encased art exhibit of things found in the debris that is emotionally provoking... And the revival of the trees into sculpture is beautiful and photo worthy.

The memorial is beautiful and very eye opening. I highly recommend visitors to the area to go by this memorial. It is a great reminder of not only the devastation that Biloxi and surrounding areas went through but also of their strength and perseverance.

So touching, paused to pray for family and friends of people who had passed.

Could be a lovely tribute to those lost in Mississippi but between the panhandler waning money and the damage to the memorial it was kind of sad. .. hopefully the city will restore it
