Humphreys Peak Lookout, Peak View Winter Recreation and Parking Area - National forest in Flagstaff - , USA

We arrived at 9am and parking was okay, by the time we were leaving at 11 it was absolutely packed. Lots of space for everyone to play though and the snow was freshly fallen so it was clean and soft lol we even managed to make a snowman.

A blink and you miss it turn off the Highway, but it is worth it if you want a quick place to park and get the forest experience. There are trails and bathrooms (no water) and it’s easy to make a quick trek away from the sounds of the highway and get lost in the scenery. This spot is accessible for kids and a great place to stop for a picnic (tables on site).

It's pretty rocky here but great for a couple of people wanting to walk around. I saw family after family leave disappointed because they couldn't really sled.

Nice views and a well-placed wayside with decent outhouse on the scenic drive from Grand Canyon to Flagstaff at mile marker 222

Nice place for kids to play sledding & build a snowman. Also great as a photoshoot. Only have a toilet here.

The kids love riding sleds and playing in the snow here. Pros: there is a restroom, lovely gentle slopes for the younger kids, easy to acces: just off the main road. Cons: very limited parking, snow not cleared in the parking area so some cars get stuck after heavy snow. The area is Rocky so if snow is thin, some parts can be dangerous. Most of the slopes are in between trees (don't forget the helmets).

if you find yourself in Flagstaff, take the journey up Mt Humphreys. A drive to the top of the highest mountain in Arizona takes you to 13,992ft in elevation. if you enjoy thick, towering pines and aspens, you won't be disappointed.

Well it was outside so there's nothing better. Up there the air was nice and cool the air was calm but off in the distance there were rumbles of ⛈ thunder
