Houlihan's - American restaurant in Chanhassen - 530 Pond Promenade, USA

Our group of four debated between one star or two star for the food and service. Two people ordered a seasonal salad they thought was ok so it elevated the table total to two stars. The chicken salad show in pictures seemed to be reheated and very dry, the accompanying ranch dressing was bland at best. The soup was thick like paste with the chives being the most prominent flavor. Yesterday’s fries would have tasted better yesterday. We waited a long time for food and even longer to get the sweetener packets for an iced tea ordered early on. The most attentive part of the service was when they brought unnecessary refills as we still had cups more than half filled. The gentleman who brought the food out was very friendly and did bring the sweeteners over. Kudos to him. We are unable to define the flavor of the au jus or horseradish sauce that came with the French dip. We’ve eaten in this chain before and had good experiences and food previously. Not so much this time.

What a great place, like the owner said, on our way to Paisley Park. We stopped for lunch. Delicious food, great staff. Quite the envoronment. Will stop again! Thank you.

The walleye was very oily and when we asked to switch it for grilled salmon, waited twenty minutes before we gave up and asked for the bill. Service made us feel like it was our fault for asking for a different meal.

Great place the food is really good and made from scratch. And tastes like it too. Nice mellow atmosphere. Good menu too not to much but not to simple. Anything from walleye to pasta to burgers and sandwiches and salad. Used to be more around the twin cities still a few around. Check it out!

First time here and really liked their menu and courteous staff. Jason was very quick in getting the order out . Nachos was great and the kids menu was really nice minus the carrot. Fish sandwich and baked potato was just amazing and the kids loved their drink and crispy fries.

Had their seasonal lemony (pasta) with chicken, which was such a delight! A medley of flavor balanced in a way where both individually and eating everything together was a delight to eat. I also had their Strawberry Basil Lemonade, which was quite refreshing, even if the basil was a tad light. If you’re lucky, the outdoor seating allows you to see some geese!

Great food, friendly staff. Our server greeted us by saying "welcome back!" When we told him we hadn't been here before, he took it completely in stride and said we just have one of those faces. He specifically recommended a few drinks and dishes, and he didn't take notes when we ordered. Fantastic job. Don't be a foolihans, go to Houlihan's.

I went here for lunch on my birthday. Love the stuffed mushrooms, always been a favorite. My husband got the Fish n chips (huge portion). He was pretty impressed. I got the Risotto Scallops by recommendation of the server.... for the price tag $15+, I wasn't very pleased. Small portion size, the scallops were tiny like the size of a dime and there were only 5 on the plate. The risotto wasn't remarkable. To be honest I was a little disappointed. That said, I wouldn't order that selection again. Overall not the best experience for a Birthday, but at least my husband liked his food.
