Holiday Inn Sioux City, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (543)
This hotel is extremely shady. I traveled for business and my company paid for my room. They said they needed my card for incidentals and then proceeded to extract payment from my personal account. The manager has not returned my calls and I will have to continue to figure out a way to get my account credited. The outside door to the parking lot had been shimmied so you could not re-enter so someone had broke the security lock. The hotel is getting run down and not as well kept. Another friend had parents staying there and they found used needles in the bathroom. Please be careful when staying here. The staff seems nice but things are not on the up and up. I hope they can work on becoming more professional and work on safety of their clients.
Checked in on our way up from Florida to Le Mars, got here about 2 am. Got our luggage, and 4 yearold out, came up to the room to find it dirty.. still.
The attendant explained finding help is hard to come by. It’s understandable.
The next room we were put in was decently clean. Not the best. Not a bad place to stay, but it’s definitely an older hotel.
Let’s start with a couple of good points. The rooms were very clean. The cable package was great (you would be surprised how many hotels don’t have good options for kids). The room had Keurig and fridge. The rooms were a tad small though mostly fine. In relation to hotels of the time, electric sockets are lacking, though certainly enough in the room for charging. |The elevator on the 6th floor did not go down. The toilet seemed clogged though it ultimately worked for the short time we needed it. The restaurant (as far as I can tell) is down for repairs right now, though there are plenty of restaurants nearby (Scooters, IHOP, Hardee’s) this was kind of disappointing. The room was fairly noisy. That is probably expected in the area, and I think the room noise was fine, just outside noise (worth noting for good and bad, Bar Louie is underneath). All of this figuring in, it’s probably a good $20 and maybe up to $40 priced over what I would expect for something similar. Most importantly, we were really looking forward to the pool. It looked perfect. It ended up being too cold for the very young kids and adults (you can’t stop teenagers from swimming). We were able to do short stints in hot tub and pool with the small kids to satisfy the expectations as best we could. There’s surely too many hotels in the area to recommend this. My low rating mainly speaks to an ice cold pool (with no towels stocked) but even taking out of the equation, seems like a terrible price vs what you get.
Stayed there overnight while working in Sioux city. We recently switched to this hotel and we couldn't be happier. The rooms are clean the beds are comfy. The breakfast is very good for a hotel breakfast. There's a pool and fitness center. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
We were led to believe that this was still a holiday inn....not the case. While very nice staff work there this hotel needs a huge amount of renovations. The pool is shut down but I took a peek...it's gross and ruined. Our toilet was broken the whole time and we had to use our other family's room. No crib for my child. All I can say is it has potential.
Bar Louie is connected to the hotel and is a nice restaurant with good food, drinks, and service. That Kyle guy knows how to cook a good burger! Holiday Inn staff were great. They set me and my mom up in a nice clean handicap accessible room and made sure we were taken care of. Mom and I went outside to smoke and found a local wildlife resident lol. A cute little furry bat hanging out on the wall. There was some construction outside but we didn't hear anything inside. The pool and hot tub were nice and open till 11pm. Kudos for the hotel to keep them open late. Most hotels close their pool areas around 8 or 9 and people miss out on that amenity. I'm glad we got to relax in the pool and hot tub before we went to bed. Because of that, I slept like a rock!
Older hotel but is well maintained. It's more on the edge of the city by the highway but you can get everywhere you need to easily. Good prices, staff was friendly and quick with check in. Room is a little small and so is bathroom but like I said, older hotel. Fitness center and pool looked good. Restaurant off lobby is good and there are others in walking distance. Easy to get around and in and out of.
wanted to let you know that this is, by far, the worst stay at a holiday inn I have ever had.
My husband and I started staying at Holiday inns, because we felt that we could always trust them to provide a clean, comfortable environment. Never thought I would have to worry about bed bugs, roaches, or getting clean sheets. Unfortunately, this hotel has got me extremely worried about what may have come home with us or on us.
We got checked in around 7pm and had to rush out. Didn't get much chance to look around, but didn't think twice about it. We got back at about 2:30 in the morning, and realized it was not the clean holiday inn we were used to. We pulled back one of the blankets and noticed blood on the sheets. It was red, like it was fresh, not just brown stain. So they must not wash the sheets regularly. I tried using the phone in the room to call down to the front desk to let them know, but it wouldn't work. So I used my cell to call, lady that answered the phone was no help at all. I ended up telling her to have the manager call me as soon as they get in. I still have not received a call. Also, the heater didn't work properly, and the wall paper in the bathroom is pealing off the walls. It's not just a little bit, it's every wall.
In the morning we went to they're breakfast. It was really bad. There was a roach on the floor at the bottom of the stair case, crawling around, It was horrible. It was like we stayed at a motel 6, or 8 or something.
They do have construction going on. I'm not sure if they are planning on remodeling these rooms, but they definitely should not be renting them out with the holiday inn name or ihg attached to them. This stay was horrible, I just wanted to let everyone know.

We had to spend the night unexpectedly due to some bad weather while traveling. I saw this hotel had similar/identical rates to other hotels nearby but had slightly larger rooms, so we booked a couple rooms and hoped for the best. Let me tell youâ¦t
Our family usually stays at a different Hilton hotel when in Sioux City, but this time we decided to try this hotel instead. Hilton hotels are usually without any serious complaints and this is no exception.

Anne was absolutely amazing from the first time I spoke with her, through the duration of the 8 weeks. When my Daughter was awarded a Summer Internship and we were responsible for finding housing for 8 weeks in Iowa, to say I felt over whelmed was a
I've never had a bad experience there from my early childhood memory when it was a movie theater, to musicals, to concerts, and the symphony. The staff are very professional and it's even nice to come back and see their familiar face!
I was in town for a month, Abby and the team have created an amazing environment that is friendly, motivating, and challenging. Every coach I worked with was focused on form and safety. Itâs been more than a year since I had last done CrossFit, Coa
