Although it was a little foggy when we visited it was still a great view of the city and an excellent view of the famous Hollywood sign. Plus I got my wings (as you can see) and it was a good time to visit with traffic and parking, which was great, with very little tourists. Definitely would make the effort to get there.

This is an awesome, well organized attraction in Carlifornia. The view from the top of the Mountain overlooking LA is an experience by itself and is a beautiful experience. The layout of the Observatory is really interesting and very educational. Anyone taking the tour will learn so much. I would recommend this experience to everyone. The staff members are very, very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing views! Make sure to avoid holidays or prime time weekends, as it can get very very crowded! Hint: instead of waiting incredible amounts of time in car in line to get to the top / observatory, you can easily park at the base of the hill and then walk the 16-20 minutes up towards the observatory. There is a lot more parking at the basement.

FREE street parking on the weekends from 8-10am! Such a peaceful park with amazing views of LA and the Hollywood sign. Climb up high enough and you can see the observatory, LA skyline and the Hollywood sign all at once. Such a tranquil escape from the traffic and loudness of LA. Sadly I only had a few hours here and only got to do a few trails but there are a ton of them. A very popular and busy park in LA. Absolutely beautiful.

Had an incredible time here and the views were spectacular. The hills up are pretty tough but definitely worth it. I was on an e-bike so it made the trip up quite easy. There were a lot of cyclists coming down at huge speeds so don’t hug the inside of the corners in case they don’t make their corner coming down the hill. I will be going back because I was limited for time and I hope to see much more

Absolutely a must place to visit. There is so much to see and learn about inside the Observatory. It is free to enter. The view is wonderful and the best part. We stayed 4 hours and saw most but not all of it. We didn't see any of the videos that you have to pay for ($10 per adult). Traffic is terrible. We took the bus and found free parking just down the hill (near the Greek theater). Unfortunately we missed out on looking through the telescope because it didn't open until 7:00pm. I would go back and plan to hike.

Took our little to celebrate her birthday. She is currently into space, I recommend coming at night to enjoy the lights, and to use the large telescope to view the moon if it is out that day you go. Each section has easy to read descriptions of what they display. if you are able to, I would highly recommend paying for a show tickets are very affordable. We saw signs of life in the Samuel oschin planetarium. The show itself is narrated live. The narrator did a an amazing job, I was impressed, it sounded like a recording. The show itself is projected over a dome. you lay back in very comfortable seats and listen and watch the show. The birthday girl really enjoyed it. She was also in awe of all of the city lights. We didn't seem to have an issue with parking but that could be because we went in January, I have heard that it's a little harder to find parking during the warmer season. parking is $8 an hour. The bathrooms outside were very clean they're also some inside as well. There is no food or drinks insight to purchase ,but you are able to bring your own and eat outside if you'd like. There are some viewing scopes when you first walk up You do have to pay $0.25 to view but inside they do not charge to view the city lights or sky. We were not able to view the moon on the large telescope because of the clouds that night but the birthday girl had a blast.
