The food was good! Lot of vegetarian options. They give complimentary bread and garlic. We ordered two entrees- veggie combo and veggie ghalaba both came with fattoush salad. The falafels were nice too. We had baklava in the end which were fresh. The service was good. We had some left overs and got a few boxes. We don’t enjoy the tabouli so much so didn’t pack it. Our server said we should have asked for something else instead and he would have replaced it. He asked if we would like the garlic dip instead, we said yes. We were charged for the garlic dip. ( If I knew it wasn’t a replacement, I wouldn’t have asked for it ) Its not a big deal but my advice is make sure you know what you are signing up for! Also we saw someone come in at 9 pm. They close at 9 and not 10pm. Their website says 10 which is no longer true.

Food and everything was great. I would have liked an option that was a little in between the sandwich size (very affordable!) and the entree size (pretty expensive, so I imagine it must have been huge). I ordered a side with my sandwich, but a lunch special with a few different sides would have been even better.

I love the shrimp cilantro dish. The fresh pita bread is amazing. Delicious fattoush and all dishes are seasoned so well. The signature grape leaves are good even though I don't eat grape leaves often

I enjoyed the lentil soup that kept me coming back. The last time I went there I decided to order a sandwich and soup. There was no one else in there but me and another young lady. When we left there with our carryout, we both felt they were rude. We had terrible customer service. I felt like I was unappreciated. When I got home to eat my food, it was a reflection of the service and horrible as well. When I have come in the past, the one time I received good customer service was with a different restaurant server. The same restaurant server with short salt and pepper hair makes sure he goes out of his way to show he does not appreciate me as a customer. I will not be going to this restaurant for the terrible treatment to me as a customer.

A regular lunch choice, I always get the chicken shawarma, rice, and meat pies and everything is consistently excellent. The amount of garlic sauce on the shawarma is heavy and wonderful...and vampires won't come near you. 😆 Service is fast and friendly. I've never eaten inside but there are usually plenty of people there enjoying their meals when I come through. 👍

Grew up in Detroit eating Middle Eastern food, then moved to the West Coast where this cuisine is hard to find and when you do, it's just not the same. I'm in town this week visiting family who suggested this place and it instantly reminded me how much I've missed good Middle Eastern fare. Fast friendly service and the food was delicious and authentic. Putting this on my list of places to return to whenever I'm back visiting family!

My wife and I dined in recently with our extended family. Our server Ali went so above and beyond with his charm, service, attention to detail and accommodating nature to my mother laws dietary restrictions while creating such a nice and relaxing environment. We’ve dined in since and every time, it’s about as much of a red carpet treatment as you could ever ask for. The food is incredibly fresh. Some of my favorite crushed lentil soup in the city. The chicken always perfectly charred while always being juicy. The ghallaba is also the best I’ve ever had. I feel like when I eat here, my body is thanking me for filling it with good food made with love and care served by the best in the biz. Middle Eastern cuisine is THE food of Metro-Detroit. To eat at Grape Leaves is to be a true Detroiter. I can’t say enough good things. Customer for life.

The food is always amazing. I love their lemon garlic chicken entree. The bread is warm and delish! The portion size was very good.
