Had a bit of time between family events while visiting Leesburg and decided to take the tour of Dodona Manor, and boy are we glad we did! We read that the furnishings were authentic for the time when General Marshall and his wife lived there, but had no sense of how it would transport us back in time. Our docent Alexis and apprentice Greg were great. We really felt like we were present in the past. The short introductory film was interesting All in all, time well spent! We would encourage all to visit this important historical site!

This museum site is clearly on a tight budget, but does a great job with what they have. The docents were courteous and informative, and the building and grounds were in great condition. George Marshall was one of the best people we had during the Second World War; my visit was not only fun and informative, but inspired me to think a little more about how our country can be better.

We had a fun, fact-filled tour of the Marshall home! Fascinating that so many of the couple’s belongings remain. The house has been beautifully restored and the gardens are lovely.

A wonderful home and history I was mostly unfamiliar with. The docents guiding the tour were excellent and seemed to really share their knowledge and respect for George C. Marshall. Made me want to read and learn more about this incredible man and the influence he had on history. The home was like taking a step back in time. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful place. The trees, shrubs, gardens and roses too, all have plaques telling what type of plant/tree it is. The grounds are immaculate. There are tours which is recommended if you have time, if not the grounds are wonderful to stroll through.

Our tour guide was so knowledgable about General Marshall and his wife, Katherine. The house is very well preserved. The grounds are immaculate. This tour is a hidden treasure about a man that made such a huge impact on the entire world and economy.

The Marshall House has been beautifully preserved so you can see how one of the most important leaders of the 20th century lived. Marshall's leadership and intelligence were central not only to the Allied victory in World War II, but also to the post-war reconstruction of Europe. Despite his major role in world affairs, he was a humble man who tended to his own vegetable garden that is still active on his property today. The excellent 1.5 hour tour was led by a very knowledgable and friendly docent. Parking was free. And to top it off, you can relax and discuss the magnitude of Marshall's contributions right next door at Loudoun Brewing Company's tasting room.

Impressive testimony to a great American patriot. The film that initiates the tour immerses us in the forces that shaped young Marshall and how the mature Marshall utilized the lessons learned to serve our country and to better the world. We need to support the foundation to preserve this lesson of selfless service and this unique, important slice of our nation's history.
