Gen Korean BBQ House - Korean barbecue restaurant in Northridge - 10151 Reseda Blvd, USA

Came during the holiday season, very busy so best to plan ahead and reserve a day in advance. Our waiter was very kind, and also quite difficult to find when we wanted to order more, resulting in our grill burning multiple times, and it would not get swapped out for a while. Some of our meat orders were duplicated or missing. Overall okay experience, though have gone to better Korean Barbecue places in the surrounding area.

My experience here was not the best. When we entered the building we waited up front for about 5 minutes before we sat down the building had a few tables with people but not to many. Our server wasn’t the nicest person he was very rude and with a “I don’t care attitude “ and only checked on us once throughout the time I was there. The food that we had ordered was the K.F.C and that came out cold. We orders steak as well and it came out frozen. We spoke to the manager about it and nothing was taken off the bill ,and I was charged for dinner when I went during there lunch hours. The staff became more rude after we spoke to the manager. In all honesty I believe the GEN is Oxnard is 100% better than this place. Im very disappointed. I could go to a fast food place and get better customer service and a better experience.

This place has become trash since the last time I’ve been here. It was always on a decline but I had no real issues as long as they kept the bare minimum standard. But now they’ve limited the amount of orders you can put in per meat from 4 (what it used to be) to 1 (current), meaning once you finish the small a$$ portion, you have to wait until the server comes by to order another, then wait for it to come out. The side dishes are skimped on, but also look like they’ve been transferred from someone’s leftovers. The serving staff are nice and aren’t at fault as they have to follow orders, since the new manager Dave or David has been on their cases over portions. According to “Dave”, who from the beginning when we were seated and knew who he was, looked like he would rather not be there, he was only following corporate guides. But I haven’t seen these “guides” implemented at other Gen locations. Overall I had to walk out as I am not paying dinner prices at 1:30pm for this heinous experience. Go to MGD, while not top tier, it isn’t Gen.

The place is very good, the food is very good, I went on Wednesday and there were several tables but the waiter was very bad, it took a long time to bring the food and drinks that why 3 stars

It was just ok! Thecsteak don't get it unless you want to lose a tooth. The Japchae that I make is great, this one is not!

This place is so excellent foods are very delicious huge dinning are then excellent service plus so clean. Parking spaces are plenty of space and free.

-Service was 10/10 Our waitress was very nice, there was also a guy with slicked back hair who would check on us and other tables. If I was the owner of this place I would definitely give everyone raises. -Food is good as always -Parking was good too I’m from Texas, visiting here for family and this was a good place for a bite and I will be recommending this Gen to all my fellow friends and associates.

I had the pleasure of dining at Jacob and Connie's recently and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, Jacob and Connie were incredibly attentive and welcoming. Their warm and friendly personalities truly made us feel at home. Throughout our meal, they went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations based on our preferences. Their attention to detail and genuine passion for their craft truly shined through. Not only did Jacob and Connie provide excellent service, but they also made our dining experience truly unique. They took the time to engage with us, sharing stories and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's clear that they truly care about their customers and want to make sure they have a memorable time. Based on our wonderful experience, we will definitely be returning to Jacob and Connie's in the near future. Their exceptional service, attention to detail, and personable nature make them stand out in the dining scene. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience, I highly recommend paying them a visit. You won't be disappointed!
