A friend who just moved here talked me into coming here. I had never climbed before and wasn't sure I'd love it. It took some time and getting out of my comfort zone but I had a blast!!! We stayed for just over 2 hours and I will definitely be back, probably next weekend ;) Some reviews say it's a bit expensive compared to other gyms. As I can't comment on that, I can say they have punch cards that save you $10 a visit if you don't want to start a membership so it comes to $15 per day pass which seems reasonable to me for what you get there. That price includes the equipment rental as well. Thanks for bringing this to Sioux Falls, we can always use more indoor activities especially in the winter!
One of the better gyms that I've been to in my travels. I love the fully open layout and the diverse bouldering problems. If I was a local I would for sure be a member here.
The staff were also all very friendly and had such good vibes.
Dog-friendly place which surprised me as I've never been to any climbing gyms like that.
Will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area!
Great employees good variety of climbs and always something to push yourself with. Love coming here because its the only place with wall climbs in sioux falls.
It’s a nice facility. The ropes are pretty solid and the kilter board is nice to have too.
Leaving 3 stars for two reasons.
1: the gym is overpriced. I didn’t need to rent any equipment and still ended up spending over $20 after tax for a day pass. That’s too expensive.
2: the bouldering area just isn’t very good. The route setting feels pretty clunky and seems to favor more awkward/strong moves rather than fun and interesting techniques and it results in routes that just don’t flow well. The grading feels way off. Their lower graded climbs feel about a grade off and their higher graded climbs feel like they could be 2-3 grades off with not a lot of consistency in the grading. I noticed there were also no v0’s on the wall. I’m normally a v6-v7 level boulderer so it didn’t matter much to me, but if I wanted to bring a beginner to try bouldering, there’s nothing there for them to do. If you want to boulder here you’d be better off spending your whole session on the kilter board.
Fantastic facility. Stopped in and did some bouldering and it was very nice with a lot of different climbing opportunities. The Lemur Kilter board is killer. Will be back again soon!
Very disappointed, took 2 young kids to climb and barely got to because of 2 large kid's groups that monopolized the kids wall. Staff could have saved us money and told us we were wasting our money. $50 thrown away,
So much fun!!! There were 6 adults and 3 kidos 3 and under. There is a place for the kids to play, and climb. We just had one adult trade off watching them while the rest of us climbed and boldered.
Can't say enough about this place. Kids love it, I love it. Makes working out not seem like working out but fun. Staff is always really friendly and helpful if you have questions. Has bouldering, top ropes, autobelay and lead climbing. Even has a kids play area with slide and small bouldering wall.
