Lovely little pub with a lively covered outdoor area and an excellent bike rack. This place has apparently been here for years and I only just discovered it, and it’s a little gem. There is something about being in a courtyard between two multistory but human scale brick buildings that establishes charm and encourages conversation. The stairways to the upper rooms provide this place too with room to explore.

This atmosphere at Fadensonnen is fantastic and makes it worth the trip by itself! Came to the outdoor patio for a friend’s birthday, such a relaxed and fun environment. Picnic table seating made it a great place for a group. Outdoor bar so it’s quick to get drinks. Inside area was quiet and intimate and could have made for a nice date night. Can’t wait to come back!

Upstairs tavern is perfect for a date night! And the rosemary spritz is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Love that they’re directly connected to Chachi’s and you can just grab food from there to eat. Service was great, ambiance was better. Will be back!

Getting kind of boring and grungy. Wish it would decide whether it's fancy or welcoming. Drinks, wine, sake have become consistently stingy without being exotic or interesting. The aesthetics are still nice, but growing stale and cheap looking. Staff is always good and lovely.

I'm revising my review, after visiting last night for the Good Love Bar reunion. I haven't seen some of these people for twenty or more years, and they were all great. Now comes what's not so great... Your people are awful. I bought a bottle of wine for $48, and you automatically added gratuity (w/ tax = $62.50)--DUMB. Furthermore, it took the bartenders 30-plus-minutes to print my check, so we leave the bar debacle to socialize with our friends for a few minutes, and your bartender throws the rest of our wine away. We bring this to their attention and they look at us like we're lying. *** NEWS FLASH *** THE WINE SUCKED, AND WE'RE JUST SUPPORTING YOUR SMALL BUSINESS (exactly the way we supported your spot when I lived in the area). Nevertheless, your bartenders, who clearly srewed-up, offer to give us an already opened bottle of the same wine, which we reluctantly accepted. I reopen a tab to cover some drinks for any friends that we meet. Drinks were ordered. Check was asked for; still yet, we still have half of the wine left in the "new/old" bottle. I asked the bartenders if they could put the wine-saver stopper back in the bottle for us. I offer to pay $5 for the stopper, and to pay a 125% tip on a $35 check. I just need my problem solved, and I like to solve problems (whenever possible) with generosity. The bartenders gave me a dirty cork off of the bar, and said they couldn't accommodate us because it's not their bar. This is so bad that I have never heard my partner, since 2014, say the words "DON'T TIP THEM!!!"

For any of you who have visited Lane and her crew's other places, I'm sure you'll be unsurprised to know she has another hit. The wine bar at Fadensonnen presents an ambiance that matches the quality of drinks, snacks, and service. My fiance and I had an excellent time ordering lots of sake (with recommendations from staff) and some perfect snacks to pair with it. I will say that this is not a place to eat a meal, but to have some small bites that accompany your drinks. Can't wait to try the outdoor beer garden when it's warmer!

Fadensonnen is in a food complex called Socle in Baltimore's historic Old Goucher neighborhood. It's a wine/sake bar on the second level and a biergarten outside that opens at 5pm. Here's why you should make it a must-visit while in Baltimore: 1) Space: The owner is nearby Bar Clavel's Lane Harlan, so you know it will be beautiful. It's a minimalistic bar with wood floors, a small bar, a few tables, and one large wooden community table. The simple design is stunning. 2) Drinks: The wine list is solid and even has an orange wine on the menu that is tasty. They sell sake and a few cocktails. I ordered the peach and cardamon spritz. It was refreshing! 3) Food: Their small plates are excellent. The larder pickles for $4 are among the best pickled vegetables I've ever had. The mushroom tartine was well made and the sobrasada (spreadable pork salumi, labneh, apricot marmalade) with warm sourdough bread was out of this world. If you're a foodie, make Fadensonnen one of your stops. I'd drive up from D.C. any day of the week to dine here!

Such a great space. Chill vibes and good service in both the downstairs and upstairs interior spaces. Will definitely come again.

Bill and Tonya were INCREDIBLE hosts. The breakfast was delicious, the room was spacious and well maintained. Also, Zulu was the cutest company for our breakfasts. Truly the only place we’ll ever stay in Baltimore.

This place is soooo cute. The biggest portions of the most delicious looking treats fill a little case that greets you as you walk in the door. There's a little line but the wait is not bad. To the right is a fridge with delicious looking cream soups
