Dunes Village Resort - Resort hotel in Myrtle Beach - 5200 N Ocean Blvd, USA

My husband kids and I came for my birthday weekend in January The pools were very nice and good temperature to enjoy. The water park is always enjoyed by my two kiddos and well maintained and cleaned. The staff is always very friendly and take care of us when needed. The kitchen the rooms are very helpful for people trying to look to save a little extra money. Also the full refrigerator is so nice to have to be able to stock full of drinks and goodies throughout our stay.

Wonderful experience! Chantal at the Front desk was amazing! Great customer service, always smiling! The rooms are very clean and spacious. It’s great for families with kids especially for the indoor pools and activities that they have daily for them. We will definitely be back!!!

We will definitely be back. The customer service was great, everything was so clean, and everything went smoothly from check in to check out. The kids had a blast in the pool areas and the kid friendly activities through out the day were a nice touch as well. Rachel, the restaurant manger, was super personable and had my son color a picture for her that she hung on the wall. He thought that was super special. Prices were reasonable and portions were large. My ONLY complaint is the people who stop you and offer you discounts on local attractions. They hook you in with all the savings and then at the end tell you that you have to go see a 2 hour presentation to get the discounts. 2 hours is an awfully long presentation when you are on vacation to relax.

We just visited the Dunes Village Resort for the second time (previous trip was 5 years ago). I struggled with how to give stars for this review because on both trips, we were given rooms that reeked like cigarette smoke. Not a great way to start off a trip! On this visit (Dec 2023), when I went to the front desk to tell them about the smell, I was told to "leave for an hour and they'd place an ozone machine in the room to suck out the cigarette smell" - I let them know this was not an acceptable solution and that we needed to be given a different room. The staff member said the hotel was fully booked (it did not seem full) but said they'd call a manager. The manager was very nice (and so was the other staff person but not sure why they needed to say that the hotel was full) and immediately put us in a different room. Unfortunately, in the second room the smoke detector was beeping every twenty seconds. Over the next 24 hours, we had to call maintenance THREE times to get it to stop beeping, including it beeping throughout the night on our first night - not a good nights sleep :-(. All of this was a major bummer! The hotel staff are nice and the indoor waterpark is great for little kids and the location is great. The rooms are in good/fair shape - comfortable beds, simply appointed kitchens, towel service each day. Great ocean front views! If you visit Dunes Resort, I recommend sending someone up to your assigned room before lugging all your belongings to it!

Good family focused resort. Great facilities for the kids, including indoor and outdoor pools, planned activities for the kids, outdoor playground, etc. As a couple, not as good. Pool was too noisy with all the kids. Located on North Ocean Boulevard, too far away from the main strip to walk there. We had an ocean front room and the view was great.

Check in was great starting with Ms. Laporchaa. Room was clean. Waterpark was amazing for the kids. Restaurant and bar was good. Needed some tape from the front desk and a new room key because I locked us out and ms laporchaa handled that again. She needs a raise!

Smiling (& Friendly) Faces & Beautiful Places start here! Don't mind the dust, while they're updating & renovating the Dunes side, enjoy the Palmetto side! (Jan 2024 visit) Love the indoor jacuzzi & lazy river! Plenty of activities planned & totally family friendly! From the first person, Porcha, at the check in desk, you are immediately welcomed, & truly appreciated as a guest, & treated like a lifelong friend. I will continue to recommend The Dunes Village Resort & enjoy each trip to Myrtle Beach here!

Check in was a breeze once again! My family has visited this resort multiple time throughout the year and always enjoy the location of the resort, views and of course the indoor water park. I want to give a shout out to Laporcha, Sherry and Janelle for going above and beyond with their excellent customer service.
