Completed my AFF Tandem Skydive yesterday. Outstanding experience, great instructor (Props out to Josh pun intended), great facility. Looking forward to completing the AFF program and obtaining my Category a License. I would highly recommend Des Moines Skydivers to anyone interested in the sport!

I got my wife a gift certificate for a tandem jump for her birthday and I definitely wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to tag along. We scheduled our initial jump for Friday the 13th (not my idea) but unfortunately (or fortunately if you’re a skeptic) the weather was bad and it had to be postponed until the next weekend. We arrived for our jump the following Saturday, but the wind decided it just wasn’t meant to be and we once again rescheduled for the next day. We arrived bright and early on Sunday morning without a cloud in the sky and the wind was almost non existent. My wife and I were pretty anxious the whole time, but all of the instructors were laid back and helped calm our nerves. From the moment we walked into the building to landing back down on Earth, I was made to feel like I was part of the Des Moines Skydivers family. They are a great group and I would recommend them to anyone, beginner or experienced jumper. Even though we had some scheduling hiccups that were completely out of anyone’s control, they handled everything great and were awesome to work with. Shoutout to my instructor AJ for making my experience an unforgettable one! Also if you’re on the fence about the video package, get it. The amount of content you get from it is well worth it. Their crew runs a tight ship and they truly care about your experience. Thank you to Brandon who did all my photos and videos!

I have zero complaints! I did my first jump with AJ. He's knowledgeable and was an excellent instructor to help calm me down. I wouldn't go anywhere else but here!!

This review is being entered by Matt Pringle (not Ellie). I just wanted to say that Des Moines Skydivers were very good. I was canceled once due to weather and they kept me informed, even with a phone call directly from the manager. I met AJ and he is a very down to earth person with everything under control - you will like him. On August 19, 2023, my wife and I went and it was very busy (probably due to previous weather cancellations) and my arrival time was set for 10 am. It is interesting just to stand around and watch jumpers as they prepare and then as they descend under the canopy and land. This was my first jump. I was excited and scared. My tandem instructor had a great personality and spoke to me with great clarity and answered all my questions. I paid for the video and still shots (well worth it) and Gabrielle Roth (the videographer) made me look great in the video and pictures compared to how I really felt… Leaving the plane was terrifying. The fear diminishes greatly once you leave the plane. Dave and Gabrielle made me feel safe and that everything was always under control. If I ever tandem jump again it will undoubtedly be with Des Moines Skydivers in Knoxville, Iowa. If it were possible to give 6 stars, I would. Thank you for a time I will NEVER forget.

Lady's, daughter's if you want to do something spectacular for your special man or dad, send him to AJ. He and Brandon, the cameraman, were the absolute best. Our daughter bought her dad a jump and fulfilled one of his bucket lists. He is wheelchair bound, and AJ and the whole team were patient and helpful. He will be back, and this time, I will jump too. Thanks, guys, for making an old man's (lol) dream happen.

Went here about a week ago for a tandem jump and it was amazing. All of the workers know how to make you feel comfortable and are able to talk you through the jump if you begin to have second thoughts. I had Josh do the jump with me and he was awesome. Made me feel safe and explained to me very well his expectations of what he wanted me to do. Would definitely recommend this place for someone who wants to try skydiving.

We cannot say enough-What an experience yesterday! AJ & John were our tandem partners and they went above and beyond! Really fun to watch divers before us go up and land..definitely calmed our nerves! Can’t wait for our next jump with DM skydivers!
