Truly truly an amazing place. Everything at def Louie's is worthy of acknowledgement and recognition. From the great location, the simple yet welcoming atmosphere, the kindness of the workers, the owner's great care for his customers, the quality of the ingredients, the amazing taste of the subs. I could go on and on. Def Louie's is the example of an incredibly well run small business that truly adds value to a town and local community. Steubenville is really a better place because of Def Louie's. The food is phenomenal, not only their subs though! They recently started selling their homemade chicken wings, and I must say they are hands down the best in the area. Who is from the area knows that there are very good Chicken Wing restaurants in the Ohio Valley. I am here to confidently say that Def Louie's beats them all. Go there and try them for yourself! Congratulations to Todd for his passion, his cooking talent and the care with which he runs his business, from the smallest details to the final quality of the products that he delivers to the customer. Best sandwiches ever! Todd takes great care in preparing every order. This isn't Subway or McDonald's, and the quality of the food shows. Ordered a Cluck Norris (chicken philly) and Gooey Louis (French dip) and both were amazing. Make sure you order ahead and get on the list. Excellent food takes time, and it is definitely worth it! A great change of pace from the every day food choices. And, Def Louie's is a locally owned and operated small business. Congrats on being successful in a tough area!

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my review! Ever since Def Louies opened I have been a big fan. I always order the Large Marge cause DANG ITS GOOD. The bread is to die for (my favorite part!) and he gets it fresh from a local bakery along with getting his veggies locally also (which is so awesome!!). His chips are great and seasoned wonderfully. The pickles are eh, not my favorite. Him introducing wings was genius. They are so good! You buy them by the pound and you get about 8 in an order. Def Louies is definitely the best sub shop in the area. 100% would recommend. I hope you have an amazing day!

When I tell you the level of excellence in each bite is always utterly delicious, you must try for yourself! CALL AHEAD to place your order or door dash it because they are in high demand and the level of perfection Todd likes to provide his customers is a skilled art that takes time. And if you are a wing lover, TRY THE (best I ever had) WINGS!!

Highly recommend!! They take their time to carefully make your order and it shows! The sandwich I ordered was very filling with fresh ingredients. My sandwich came with homemade fresh Salt and Vinegar chips. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was extremely clean. I would suggest calling ahead to place your order as they are a small business with huge demand. They have a nice theme with their dog mascot. Lots of interesting photos to look at.

I had a delicious sub today ( gooey lewis) 12 inch. To be honest it was the best type " french dip I have ever had. The restaurant was extremely busy, the owner had to make some food adjustments due to the end of the night, and food availability.( understandable) The owner personally made me a custom order, he took the time away from the multiple orders coming in all day,( to make my sandwich) and I was very grateful and felt a personal connection and special.I live 6 miles away, and would of driven 60 miles for my food sandwich experience. Supporting local businesses, is very important to me and Def Louies is by far one of the better ones in the tri state area. My only complaint was ,i couldn't rate more then 5 stars( not enough stars in the sky) Do yourself a favor, try this sub shop at least once, you will definitely be back......again and again.....

Very friendly and accomodating! Our group order 5 different sandwiches for take out that came labeled so there was no guessing who got what. And everyone enjoyed thier meal! We'll be keeping this menu for future lunches. Only downfall is that I didn't meet Sir Louie himself!

Support local business! This place is a gem! It’s not a typical sandwich place. There is something magical in each sandwich, soup, or wing sauce.. You can taste the difference. It’s well worth the wait or the drive in off the highway.
