During my last lunch visit in October 2023, we tried a few plates but our absolute favorite was the Fish Fingers - we ordered another plate (dinner size) to go for later. The menu is packed with awesome food options and what's even greater is that the menu on the website provides you a visual of what each dish includes. Feel free to check it out before your visit. We ordered the Hot Crab & Shrimp Dip, Southern-Style Crab Cake, Gulf Shrimp, 2 Fried Fish Fingers Platters, and Peach Virgin Daiquiris. Each was packed with flavor, but once again the favorite was the Fried Fish Fingers 😋. The dinner portion size was amazing and lasted a few meals after I left. I order Crab Cakes at nearly every restaurant and these did not disappoint - I finished my plate and will do it again because these are delicious!. The Hot Crab & Spinach Dip was good, but is probably best suited for the cheese lovers out there. There's a large serving of the Dip served with pita chips which can be split amongst a party in my opinion. The Gulf Shrimp were tasty. Gabrielle was our server; and she was amazing!. She was friendly, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable of the menu. Great atmosphere, cool breeze, and nice views of the beach. Plenty of parking. I will definitely return in the future.

We visited this restaurant on our last night in Destin. Our waitress was really friendly. The place was fairly empty, probably due to the weather. The seating was not the most comfortable and the decor was pretty bare bones. The food was just okay. My husband ordered his steak medium well but it was well done. The pasta lacked seasoning or any kind of oomph. The shrimp was fresh but had no seasoning. The crab and tuna dip was underwhelming but the Pita bread that came with it was amazing. This restaurant was not horrible but definitely didn't wow us.

Great outdoor seating to enjoy the view. We had crab cakes and a smoked tuna BLT-the food was delicious! They smoke their own tuna on a green egg-the dip is a must-try!

Great atmosphere with great views to the beach. We were seated right away, but it is off season. Crab legs were god served with melted butter. We also ordered the crab and shrimp pasta it was good and was enough to share. Mahi Mahi was moist and delicious as well. Mango smoothie was good. We ended our meal with key lime pie, that was good. Server was very friendly.

We love The Crab Trap. The ambiance is so unique, it’s right on the white sandy beach of Destin! We ordered the crab and shrimp dip with pita bread, it was hot and creamy and delicious. The Bairdi crab was succulent, easy to break into, and perfectly cooked. The potatoes and corn weren’t amazing but I suppose those are just for show for most people lol. I absolutely recommend this place for an authentic experience and outstanding food.

My wife and I were seated inside by the open window to the beach. It was a slightly warm day but the breeze was great. The drinks were great, not just a bit of booze with a cheap mixer here. The service was great, no wait, and our waiter knew what we needed before we had to ask. If you have a problem with outside bugs bothering you during dinner, pick somewhere else, but it was a small annoyance for us that didn't detract much. Parking was odd, since it shares parking with the public beach, but that was a benefit since after a good drink we needed an hour walk before I drove. Excellent, would highly recommend for an anniversary or special occasion.

My family and I (12 total) went to eat at The Crab Trap and had a great time. The atmosphere, mood, staff and food was all perfect. It is a hit and miss eating out at restaurants in tourist destinations, you never know what you'll get but this place was top notch. We all had a great time and highly enjoyed our food and each others company.
