Coronado National Memorial - Memorial park in Hereford - 4101 W Montezuma Canyon Rd, USA

I have a love for southern Arizona and its history. This park has beautiful hills. Scenery and wildlife. The hikes are diverse, and if you walk 3 miles or more, you can get a "I hike for health" button.

Absolutely beautiful area. The road of the mountain was bumpy but manageable in a sedan. Such gorgeous valleys and mountains. God is truly an artist.

Nice visitor's center. Easy hike to the Cave. Nice views at the overlook. Went in the morning before it warmed up.

Amazing views of Mexico. Bring your good shoes for the hike to Coronado Cave. The unpaved road to the overlook is a little daunting if you don’t like heights, but is safe if you obey the rules.

True hidden gem with so many fun and manageable trails (not too hard, not too easy- just right!). And lots of other cool stuff to see I won't mention here- you'll have to visit and see for yourself! Super friendly people inside the visitor center, too. Try on the chain mail and helmet and wonder how anyone wearing those items made it through an AZ summer!

Unpretentious National Monument centered around the passage of Conquistadors from Mexico north, in search of the 7 cities of gold. Visitor Center has some nice artifacts and very helpful and well informed rangers. The hiking trails have some challenge and the summit road, whole well maintained, is definitely an adventure - barely 1 lane mountain road. Really one of Southern AZ's hidden treasures.

It was a rough road to get to the Coronado Peak trail although worth it for the 360 degree view. It is quite the climb although there are benches along the path. There are multiple spots with loose rocks so I would recommend hiking boots.

An interesting stop on the border with Mexico. Excellent visitors center with info displayed along with NPS merchandise. The volunteer on duty was knowledgeable about the parks and the other nearby parks. We went to the overlook and did some of the dog friendly crest trail. Want to come back without the dogs and explore other trails. Great views, lots of washes to explore, a picnic area and another stamp for your passport!
