Parked on the street and made the trek in. It adds a little but you hope on a trail shortly. We did a 6.1 mile loop where we spotted some tarantulas, deer, rabbits, and coyotes. It was a bit dry and the overgrown shrubs made it for a cool hike. It’s not strenuous but there is a half mile incline with 30 min left to the hike that kicked my a$$! Looks like you can camp inside the park and you can definitely drive further in to start your hike deeper into the park. Wouldn’t say it’s a must visit, but if you’re going to be around it, I’d say you should trek it. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer

Great park! Beautiful hill sides, and the mountain bike trails. With lots of trails for Biking, Hiking, you may choose to see a different view with every visit. The place is lush and breathtaking. It is relaxing to hike and the nature is spectacular. You definitely got to check this place out. If u like nature this place is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors. The parking is 10 dollars to park inside the park. Parking can be hectic sometimes due to park getting busy and lot of people visiting. Weekends are crowded as always, but it's still pleasant and beautiful. It’s worth some good family time or great day with friends !! U have fun and lots of pictures to take with u for ur memories!! 😊 My family enjoyed it totally and kids loved doing the hike. We visit this place lot and has become our family rituals to go for hikes Sunday morning for some family time.

We visited on a day when the trails were closed because of rain, but we still enjoyed the beautiful views and the rolling hills covered with wildflowers at the end of December. The paved road winds for miles. Would like to go back when the trails are open.

Moderate trail with breathtaking views. The landscape is lush green and California poppies are blooming. 💛 There are many trails to enjoy, but note there aren’t any trees along the trail, which means no shade. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Mountain peaks provide 360 degrees views. Parking is available inside the State Park at $3/hour or $10 all day. I parked on the public street for free and walked about half a mile up the road to the Bane Ridge trailhead.

The place is lush and breathtaking. It is relaxing to hike and the nature is spectacular. There's so much trail to go to but we didn't get to go to the trails because it was closed due to the ongoing rain. However the place is good for hiking with friends family and even your lover. If u like nature this place is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors. Be ware that wild life is also present in this state park at around early evening. While we were about to go back to our to our parking lot we could hear coyotes howling. So beware of your surroundings especially in the late afternoon where its almost the end of sunset. Wild life exists and its part of nature's habitat. Don't stay too long especially when it's the end of the day just for safety.

There are probably three points where you can replenish water. Both are near the entrance. (Carbon Canyon, Rolling M Ranch, Bane Canyon near toll booth) The scenery is really beautiful, you will surely want to go far! . Prepare enough water. Depending on the season, you may have to go through thick bushes. It's safe to bring long sleeves and gloves to cover any exposed skin.

If you go there on a weekday, there are not many people inside. You can drive in directly, follow the road, and park wherever you see a parking lot. $3 an hour, $10 a day for free parking. The park does not require tickets. Go in January, the flowers are not blooming, and it is still in winter, but looking at these natural scenery from a distance, it is really refreshing, and it feels like it is in the painting. Imagine how spectacular it would be if flowers bloomed all over the hillside. It's worth a visit. Just a bit far.

Everything is so lush and green right now after all the rain. Enjoyed the afternoon hiking and connecting with friends. Unfortunately the dirt trails were closed and we had to stay on the pavement. We were hoping to catch more wildflowers in bloom after all the rain this season however we weren’t disappointed regardless. We did see some poppies, lavender, and yellow mustard. The rolling green hills will remind you of the rolling hills in Tuscany. I hope people continue to observe the trails closed sign and not ignore them like we saw. Our local State Parks need to be preserved and not ruined so that all can enjoy.
