Very disappointed in the room but a spectacular location. We made a reservation to spend our vacation in Oahu, when we chose this hotel we thought we were making a good choice, but unfortunately not. Room cleaning was done by us. We stayed 11 days they never changed our bed linen or our towels, the reception staff who were extremely rude men told us that we had to wash the bed linen and towels. We had to take the rubbish out of the room every day and leave it outside, we had to ask for replacement products at reception, which was terrifying. I don't recommend it to anyone.
I made a hotel reservation 5 days in advance and cancelled it 15-30 minutes after making the reservation. The hotel charged me $905.60. Currently, it is showing online that a 2 night 3 day stay costs about $250 per day, but I feel it is very unfair to charge me $905.60. Please send me reasonable documentation. When I called the hotel, they said they didn't charge a cancellation fee. When I went to the hotel, the employee at the front desk said there was no cancellation fee. They deducted it from my card.
The. worst. customer. service. I was ready to forfeit my deposit because of the depressed service by the front desk. I've been blown away by the great American support but this was a bucket of cold water to the face. I was laughing during the check in how bad it was. I'd advise elsewhere so your trip isn't ruined here.
PREDATORY!! Beware. They took our $2400 deposit, never msg us through the AirBNB app. My family of five arrived on July 2nd and our two bedroom condo was gonzo. Beware. They will cancel you and take the deposit with NO msg on the AirBNB app. We booked in Jan 2024 and held the deposit until June and took it. They even messaged us on the app days before our arrival of the details of our stay knowing the reservation was already gone! AirBNB offered us a $300 coupon lolol Don’t book a place in this location! Horrible start to our first Hawaii vacation.
I had a disappointing experience at this hotel and feel compelled to share my review. Despite booking a Premium sea view room for my stay from Dec 16-18th, I was downgraded to a deluxe room upon arrival, as the hotel claimed they didn't have the Premium room available. After my objections, the manager offered a discount to compensate for the inconvenience. Upon returning home, I discovered that the promised refund had not been processed by the hotel. When I contacted the travel booking website for assistance, they informed me that they had not received any refund from the hotel and i should ask the hotel about the refund letter. Hotel is not denying the fact that they have promised the refund but they are refusing my request to provide the refund letter, citing their policy. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, including discussions with the hotel manager, I have been met with a lack of accountability and responsibility. The suggestion to seek legal assistance from the hotel manager was both shocking and unacceptable. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. It is appalling that a reputed brand would engage in such unethical practices and attempt to evade accountability. I strongly advise potential guests to exercise caution when considering this hotel, as their treatment of customers is unacceptable.
I booked directly through the Shore website. You have to wash your own linen (towels, bedsheets, etc.). The view is very nice.
Cant give a good review if you find Roaches in the condo... The other reviews that I didnt want to believe were right.... No cleaning during stay but charge a $300 plus cleaning fee, more if 9 plus day stay...And make sure to take out trash double bagged or else... 😅....Excellent location though... 2 star for the location and price...
I just spent March 11th-15th at the Waikiki Shore. We chose a condo setting to gives us more room for our teenage girls and to have an amenity of a full kitchen. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the kitchen because there were roaches everywhere. The first night I went down to the front desk to inform them of the situation and was not given any assistance other than I needed to ask the day staff to have the room sprayed. The second day at 8 a.m. I asked if I could talk to someone about getting the room sprayed and I was told the reception desk didn't open until 9 a.m. At this point my daughter's are seeing bugs on their mirror in their room. I finally spoke to a maintenance person and they said they would spray. Upon returning on Tuesday afternoon, the room smelled of pesticides, which is exactly what you want to smell lol, but we didn't see any bugs Tuesday night. However, they returned midly on Wednesday, but full force on Thursday. At that point my girls are now sleeping with me and my husband is in their room. We were never able to use the kitchen or even have any food out. It was awful. Typically, under such conditions, I would have absolutely left the hotel or resort, but I had booked three condos there for my entire family as we were there for a Celebration of Life for my parents. Waikiki Shore needs a lot of work on their customer service relations. As previous residents of Oahu and regular visitors, we will not be back to the Waikiki Shore nor recommending these accommodations to anyone.

The location is great! Lots of shopping centers in a walking distance. Our service were great! The staff helped us out when needed. The rooms are nice love the balcony rooms don't have a microwave but we asked for one and they brought it to our room.
Very friendly staff, couldnât have asked for better. We were in the studio room and itâs really your basic hotel room but thatâs honestly all we needed because we didnât spend a lot of time inside. It was clean and had AC, good enough for me!
