My three friends and I stayed here for a week and we absolutely loved the location, pool, bar, and beachfront access. While there were many convenient amenities, we had a terrible experience with the staff. A few days ago, my friends and I called the front desk and they said we were able to use the housekeeping services and a Camelot staff member sent towels to our room. This morning, we called again and they agreed to give us fresh towels after they took our old ones. The front desk then called us back and told us our room does not get services and that they're going to charge us for the missing towels. We went to the desk to talk to an assistant and the man was being nice and trying to be understanding. The woman interrupted and rudely called us liars saying we never got housekeeping services and that no one ever brought towels to our room. She even raised her voice and reminded us multiple times that we were not getting more towels, then bragged about how many towels they had and that this was all a silly miscommunication. She also told one of us to stop talking and said she was crazy and not making any sense. We only wanted to make sure we were not going to get charged after they made a mistake and it turned into a screaming altercation about us being liars. Very unprofessional staff.

We were a little worried because of the reviews we read, but this was a really nice place. We stayed in room 317. Good view and close to ground floor. Parking is a little tight, but we always had a spot. There are tons of options inside and outside for pools and hot tubs. Showers are amazing pressure and endless hot water. Staff was always nice. We did see cockroaches on our patio at night, but I literally saw them everywhere in the myrtle beach area.

This is a great spot to stay. Not far from the boardwalk. Great little shops on this strip. The pool is open from 9-11 PM. Other stays are till 9 which is a joke. They play great music outside at the pools. They have a drink bar outside. The employees are all so nice and its nice and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

One of the only hotels on ocean Blvd with attached parking. Rather than walk across the street and back a block and have to use a luggage cart to haul everything up to the room. At camelot you park within 10 steps of your room, so no waiting for the elevator to load your stuff in. It's so quick and convenient. The location is perfect. Convenient short drive to practically everything. The room was very cute. Pools are nice, walk to beach is short.

This place needs a complete reno. We stayed here about 7 years ago and it was showing some wear and tear, today the bldg is really worn down. Let me start with the only 2 good things, the water pressure in the showers were nice and strong(a little to strong for kids) and it is oceanfront. Now for the bad, the furniture in room 401 looks like they found it in a dumpster somewhere, it is extremely dirty and worn, the rug in the dining area was also dirty and worn. The master bath shower has a small hole in the wall and the 2nd bath has some sort of large stain in the tub. The walls need painting and the window treatments look like someting from the 70s. The front door sticks and has to be slammed in order to shut. Most of these complaints were forwarded to vacassa who I booked with and they seemed empathetic and apologized for my experience and promised that someone would be contacting me soon, crickets, I haven't heard a thing from anyone. Way to go vacassa and Camenot. The 2 stars are for location.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was nice and the view and location was great. Easy access to the beach. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the parking garage. Parking was tight and was a whole process each time. Some people coming and going don’t use the mirrors to see if someone is coming and they drive way too fast around the turns. Went down to see the sunrise and couldn’t get through the pool area because the door was locked so had to walk around the whole building. Homeless people sleeping on the benches where you access the beach on both sides.

My family had lots of fun and loved the stay. The service was great and everything was clean and well kept(no broken furniture or appliances) . Their weren't any unpleasant odors lurking, the parking garage was clean and the trash bins were never full. My family was very comfortable and happy, which is a very big deal. The maintenance responded quickly when needed(only for door lock). They offered plenty of towels and trash bags when needed. The elevators were in proper working condition.

Overall, the building is old and needs some work. Amenities are available, depending on who you book your reservation with - AirBnB guests do not get the use of beach/pool towels. Guests should expect to have to rent Beach Chairs/Umbrella for $50/set, unless your booking specifically mentions that they are complimentary. Our unit, 605, did not look like the picture. It had very worn and dirty stained furniture in the living room and came with limited items (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). There are several other buildings in the area that are a better option for the money and are not as "run down".

Loved the pool, loved the area. Apartment was ok.. but definitely not what we paid for. We paid for a 2 bedroom w balcony. We got a studio on bottom floor. Notified them of the error & showed our receipt and still had to pay more to get the 2 bedroom
