Great little amusement park. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. Don't expect anything fancy here, but the customer service was great. All the rides were operating with a fast turnaround time. We had lunch there and the food was really tasty. Prices were a lot cheaper then all the other larger amusement park chains. It's a little run down but the atmosphere is awesome. I'm sure you will enjoy it for the price.
Camden Park was the first ever amusment park I ever went to, and now I an an adult and went again at the end of summer; I forgot how amazing it feels to smell the funnel cakes, and fly down the big dipper so fast your whole body leaves the seats.
Honestly, its not a fancy theme park. It's a dinky old family fun place. If your old fashioned fun, you will love it. Plus, there rarely are any lines except at 1 or 2 food stands. Most of the time you can walk up to a ride and be on and ready to ride quicker than it takes to walk through the ropes for possible lines.
•Nifty Little Fact: The Big Dipper is one of the last all wooden roller coasters that is still up and running, and honestly, that alone is super cool, I think.
Our family loves coming here each summer. It’s super affordable. We pack our cooler and go eat lunch at the truck. They stamp your hand and you can leave and come back as often as you want. Water is free in the park. But food cost really isn’t that bad on our trips we want to splurge we never spend more than 50 for 4 to eat what they want. We only do Snow cones and water on these days because of the heat and how active we are when there. They have some amazing snow cones. Didn’t grab a picture last time forgot! Lol
Worth every penny. Had an awesome time. The water log roller-coaster was my favorite thing there. (Tip ride in back if you don't want to get wet) with that being said my wife definitely rode up front 😂.
You can spend 2-3 hours at this park and get everything done you want….we usually go in the evenings for starlight pricing (discounted), but if we go during the daytime, we print a coupon ahead of time off the website. $5 off per person - one coupon good for 4 people. Camden Park is per my family “a national treasure”. It’s a small park without all the pomp and circumstance but it is charming for that reason too. The Haunted House is classic and has had a wonderful revamp - it looks so good now! I’m so thankful and happy they were able to put the time and money into giving it the facelift it needed! They are repairing The Big Dipper now too - so we didn’t get to ride it, but we are excited to see the improvements being made on it too. These two rides alone are truly national treasures as they are some of the most historical rides in the country. Be sure to get a pronto pup (corn dog) while you’re there and don’t count out their milkshakes (some of the best we have ever had)!!
Small crowds and short wait times
We closed the park down last night so we were able to get some great photos of the Haunted House!
The rides were great. NEED A UPDATE!!! Some of the rides you can hear cracking, they definitely need to upgrade on the rides and park. $8 for parking. 18.99 for everyone if you get it online. I got to skip the long line for the ticket booth, so that was great.
Sat is $24.99. Sun is $22.99 if you do decide to wait in line. Water inside the park was $4 & pop was $4.25 (I think)
It's more of a theme park for kids than it's for teens and adults.
It said no smoking, but I saw a lot of people smoking vapes & cigarettes.
No outside drinks or food. Gotta rent a booth, and it's $10 or $15, I believe.
Had a great time.
Food and drink prices are way too high. Otherwise the park wasn't bad, plenty of sitting areas for grand parents who want to take their grand kids. The little train is adorable, but the back side could use some sort of scenery. In general, the whole place could use some updating. But the little one had fun he rode everything except the water plume, and that was only because it was getting chilly and he already had the sniffles. Our tickets were cheaper because I bought online. They open at 5 in the evening, but that wasn't posted on the web site.
We always have a wonderful family day every time we go. There could be more games for the kids to play. The rides could be better maintained every time we go the big dipper is closed for repairs. They could add a few more rides.
