Bottomless Lakes State Park - State park in Roswell - 545A Bottomless Lakes Rd, USA

Absolutely beautiful state park. Perfectly level RV parking. Very affordable. Nice hiking trails and interesting, educational plaques along the way. I rarely say anything bad... But the showers were never cleaned the whole time I was there, 12 days. The lights are full of dead bugs, the hair on the shower floors is just piling up and you need a knife to cut the soap scum. Gross 🤢 The first campground host is constantly busy trimming trees, picking up garbage, walking around cleaning up the beach and their campsite is immaculate. The second host bad mouths the ranger, thinks they should do more, she might walk around once a day and pick up a few pieces of litter. But mostly her campsite is a disgrace, untidy, you can't see the picnic table for the junk. All and all it was a beautiful state park as long as you have blinders on when you first enter.

This is a nice, inexpensive spot for camping. Pros- low cost, full hookups, easily accessible utilities, covered picnic area at each site, nice lake for swimming Cons- so many flies! The inside of our van was covered in flies as soon as we opened the doors. The bath house is not centrally located. We had to walk way down to the other end of the campground to reach it.

We were only supposed to saltay one night here but stuff came up and we ended up staying 4 days and I am so happy we did!! This place is soo beautiful. We found ourselves stopping on the side of the road just to walk around and admire the scenes!! We will definitely stop here again when on the area. The prices are amazing and everything is so well maintained.

Nice park with eight bottomless lakes and a year round swimming beach — unusual for December in New Mexico. Ran into a camper with a pig for a pet. See video.

this park would be a great place to camp, it's a gem for a day trip in December. fascinating geology..i would've liked some literature but the visitor center was closed (the ranger was engaged elsewhere, i guess). there are campsites, each with a picnic table and outhouses with compositing toilets.

Stunning scenery! Almost all the pits have a pull off so you can take a closer look. Highly recommend to explore the lake further! Nice picnic areas and camping available, nice swimming area and great for kayaking!

It's 6 miles back off of the main road but once you get there, it's a quiet place. The campground had electric and water but not sewer at the pull through. The dump station was at the entrance.

I've always loved this spot even as an apathetic teen. Being back as an adult; affects me even more deeply. Good for the spirit. Plus the couple of parks employees I interacted w/ were always gracious, candid, & knowledgable.
