Black Rock Coffee Bar - Coffee shop in Mesa - 1839 S Crismon Rd, USA

My experience may have been different if I had gone through the drive-through. Most coffee places prioritize, the drive-through, but this one is extreme. I ordered a brewed coffee and a water. The person took my order, left the front and made three to go orders before coming back and greeting the next people in line. There were four employees I could see so I don’t think they were short staffed. The coffee was hastily placed on the counter by another employee, who disappeared immediately to the back (a fifth employee). The coffee was made wrong but the employee who tossed it on the counter disappeared and the lady taking the orders didn’t seem to care, so I just went ahead and drank it. You are supposed to get your own water from a water dispenser. When I went over, it was crusted and disgusting. If this is what they let you see, who knows what it looks like in the back. The water comes out warm and no option for ice. The music was playing so loud that a few people inside seemed like they were having a hard time with a regular conversation. When I asked employee to turn down the volume a little, she said she had no control over the volume and that was just too bad. I definitely felt like I was a second class citizen because I decided to get out of my car and wanted to enjoy the coffee shop instead of using the drive-through. There are far too many coffee shops to go back to this one.

I literally live on the road, and strive to find unique shops for my delightful caffeine addiction. Today's choice does not disappoint. Located on the corner of a strip mall, there is plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor space. The place has high energy, and a very upbeat vibe. The baristas were very cheerful and helpful with our coffee drinks. They have a motto here called "FUEL YOUR STORY." After all, isn't that one of the beautiful things about caffeine? That it not only energizes but gives you fuel and confidence to face your day? We opted to have a couple of espresso drinks. The espresso is a very balanced roast, and is not burnt or charcoal flavored at all. Would I recommend this place? Yes, definitely. Would I come back next time I'm in the area? Yes! Trust me, you will not be disappointed to make this your regular stop.

Waited forever in drive thru no one in front of me. No one making coffee person at counter never acknowledged me to say well be right with you. Batista comes back doesn't speak. Guy from counter comes takes my money. Never apologizes for the long wait. The coffee was Luke warm. Thirteen dollars for two coffees. Not worth the trip anymore. What waist of time and money

If your visiting from away or local stop by and get some good coffee from Black Rock Coffee Bar. Friendly atmosphere, kid friendly, dog friendly. Outside tables/ chairs . Plenty of parking in dirt if busy. Great staff!! and prices are reasonable

They only had a few selections of bakery but the donuts we chose were excellent. Good coffee, too.

The gentlemen helped my pop out with a drink order for my mom that he was taking back to Globe. He put the order inside a larger cup with ice to keep it cold. Really appreciated how he created a solution and was very kind. I will be a customer her from now on because of this interaction. Good job young man!

This is a wonderful coffee spot to get some studying in, get work done, or visit with a friend. There is nice indoor and outdoor seating - and plenty of it! Some coffee shops are wonderful and have a great vibe but not enough space. This one has the vibe, the seating, the space, and always seems to be well staffed. I enjoyed just a simple espresso shot on ice but it was very good! Craving it now even….. ! There is also a drive-through…. haven’t used it yet, but love when cafes have that option. Try this place!

This Black Rock coffee location is the best I have seen so far! They have the usual glass garage door that opens to the outside and they have outside seating! That’s a big deal for Arizona during the winter time. The bathrooms were clean and their drinks are larger than Starbucks. Who loves Black Rock coffee products? What’s your favorite?
