We needed a hotel for one night on a long trip home, but I didn’t want to pay too much just to shower and sleep, nor did I want to spend time driving off the highway to the location. The Avid checked all the boxes.
The rooms are simple: They don’t spend money on decor, but the bed was very comfortable, and the linens and pillows nice. They didn’t have disgusting carpeting in the rooms. Everything was clean (with some signs of aging, but I didn’t care).
At check in, the staff was very friendly!
Stayed here because my job sent me to Nebraska for training. Very convenient to get to work, super nice and respectful employees, complimentary breakfast and 24/7 coffee and tea. Cute little market area and hotel is very quiet. Definitely would bring my family here to stay next time! Oh and I'm a sucker for trains and I loved that I could see and hear them!
The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. It was nice having coffee 24/7 and complimentary breakfast was an added +. It would have been a 5/5 but I stayed in room 212 and you can hear literately everything from the room above. I stayed 4 nights and 2 out of the 4 nights had trouble sleeping due to the noise. Definitely recommend this hotel but ask to stay in any other room than 212.
This was by far the worst reservation experience I have ever had at an IHG hotel. I had to change my reservation a few times due to flooding in the hotel but communication wasn't clear. This hotel is using a 3rd party service and they are not clearly talking to the hotel desk but the number is the same. I called to change my check out day to two days earlier but it was not processed so I was charged two days that I did not stay. I called the manager about the issue and she will fully confrontational. The follow up was for her manager to call back next day at 9am, I never received the call. The charges were processed with NO follow up. This only one example of misscommunication and missmanagement. My experience had 3 issues due the stay.
Late to my best friend’s wedding rehearsal because our room wasn’t ready upon arrival at 3:10…no solution for it either. Luckily some nice people let us get ready in their room! My buddy was understanding that we were late after I told him where we were staying…
The cons: Mystery sewer smells strong on 4th floor room in room and sporadic on 2nd . Slow lav drain, loud , very loud traffic noises from wall ac from intersection below.
The pros:
The price
The friendly service and prompt resolve for room change.
Jimmy Dean breakfast biscuits and Greek yogurts were a plus. But we skipped due to the experience ate elsewhere.
Wow this hotel was quite a bang for my buck! I really enjoyed the rooms, staff, and location of this property. I was passing through for a work trip, and I can say I was throughly impressed by the property. It has everything you need and is fresh and modern ! I will for sure be back again when I am in the area!
Perfect location. Good service. Room is clean. I’m giving it 4 stars because we can hear the footsteps and movements in the room above us. We stayed at room 212. I wish the rooms were more sound proof.

We had to spend the night unexpectedly due to some bad weather while traveling. I saw this hotel had similar/identical rates to other hotels nearby but had slightly larger rooms, so we booked a couple rooms and hoped for the best. Let me tell youâ¦t
Our family usually stays at a different Hilton hotel when in Sioux City, but this time we decided to try this hotel instead. Hilton hotels are usually without any serious complaints and this is no exception.

Anne was absolutely amazing from the first time I spoke with her, through the duration of the 8 weeks. When my Daughter was awarded a Summer Internship and we were responsible for finding housing for 8 weeks in Iowa, to say I felt over whelmed was a
I've never had a bad experience there from my early childhood memory when it was a movie theater, to musicals, to concerts, and the symphony. The staff are very professional and it's even nice to come back and see their familiar face!
I was in town for a month, Abby and the team have created an amazing environment that is friendly, motivating, and challenging. Every coach I worked with was focused on form and safety. Itâs been more than a year since I had last done CrossFit, Coa
One of the best coffee shops in Sioux City and probably the oldest in the area. Worth checking it out. Amazing food made with fresh ingredients. A big range of signature coffee drinks, cold brew, iced coffee, iced tea, Vietnamese coffee, you name it,
