My husband and I are Diamond members with Wyndham. We travel all over the U.S. So, we've stayed at a lot of different hotels. If we can't find a good solid Wyndham hotel, we have no problem staying elsewhere. That being said, I've read some of the Google reviews giving this hotel a bad rap. We took a chance on this hotel - I'm so glad we did!! By the time we leave, we will have been staying here for a MONTH for work. Here are some things I've discovered about this hotel: * They are VERY accommodating. They will try to make you happy. If they can't do it, chances are the only one who can is God above. * They clean, like all the time. I don't get why people say it isn't clean. I had to switch rooms in the middle of our stay (the room we wanted wasn't available when we first arrived, nothing to do with them) and both rooms were/are pristine. Hallways, entrances, laundry room - all clean. * They are renovating/ updating and making the place look phenomenal. New furniture, etc. * Don't believe the reviews about the pool. Is it chipping? Yes. I'm sure they are working to get it fixed, but it's plenty big enough. There are chairs to sit and ones to lounge on. * The breakfast is awesome. They have yogurt, boiled eggs, apples, cereal, oatmeal, bagels with cc, scrambled eggs, sausage, made from scratch waffles, donuts, honey buns, muffins, orange and apple juice, coffee with international creamers, etc. * It's quiet here. You want good sleep? You'll get it here.

We stayed one night in a room with 2 queen beds. The platforms for the beds were for double size so the mattress was supported by a plastic piece. The mattress would shift around. |There were 2 lamps between the beds, both had holes and tears in the shades. The desk had some of the veneer missing.|We found an empty water bottle in the room as well as a beer bottle cap.|The housekeeping carts were kept in the hallway until late at night, which provided limited space to get around.|The breakfast area was small with only 5 or 6 tables. The food included pre made egg patties, sausage, cereal, toast & waffles.|It was just okay for one night but would not stay here again.

You can also check out my TripAdvisor review which is more in-depth. I stayed here with my other half for a night. It's 1 block away from I-29. Very easy to find & get back on the road after check-out. Staff was so friendly, polite, & accommodating! The entire hotel is well cared for-great upkeep, & pristinely clean. Also like the modern rustic aesthetic. The room's HVAC unit (heat/cool) was quiet & though outside was (according to my app) 91-feels like 109 & very humid, the room was downright chilly. Now we could have adjusted the temp to make it warmer, but it was perfect for how we like to sleep so we were happy with where it was. The room was nice & felt comfortably spacious, as did the bathroom. Also wonderfully quiet! Though we were 1 room away from the lobby, it was busy, & there were kids staying there also, when we came into the room, you would've thought we were the only ones there, it was so quiet! Incredible water pressure & we did not run out of hot water. The bed was crisply made & very comfortable. We slept great! Breakfast offered plenty of choices, was well stocked, & tasty. 24/7 coffee bar also had hot water & 6 tea bag choices from strong & caffeinated to calming herbal options. From the interstate to 1 block beyond the hotel (what I consider to be walking distance) I saw 2 chicken places, 2 fast food burger joints, 2 fast food Mexican places, a casual pasta place, a steakhouse, Indian place, casual Mexican place, Dollar Tree, Walmart, Sam's club, & 3 gas stations that my gas app indicated were in the top 5 cheapest of the entire area (either cheaper or tied with the others in the top 5). Talk about conveniently located! We never did make it to the pool & the only complaint I have is that 1 side of the bed did not have a lamp or outlet so I had to use my power bank to charge my phone overnight.

Inside reflects the outside: rustic inspired & clean. Everything is in good repair (no areas needing repair that we saw) & pristinely clean. We didn't see a speck of dust anywhere! Though there is no elevator (only 2 floors), it was easy to call the front desk after booking to request a 1st floor room. When we checked in a few days later, Dan at the front desk was so pleasant, friendly, helpful, & accommodating. He confirmed that we were assigned a 1st floor room (close to the lobby even, which I prefer) & double checked that it was ready since we arrived a bit before regular check-in time. We were prepared to wait in the lobby till check-in, but only had to wait maybe 5 min.|The hotel was comfortable & our room was actually chilly - a bonus in this Iowa summer heat & humidity (91-felt like 109 said the news). We could have easily changed the temp, but it was perfect for sleeping & cuddling up watching TV. The bathroom was spacious without being impractical & the water pressure was ridiculous (aka terrific) with plenty of hot water for us! The bed was crisply made & comfortable. We both had an amazing night's sleep. There was a good sized desk with comfortable rolly chair, a comfortable oversized armchair, pot-less coffee maker, fridge, microwave, dresser & armoire as well as a nice sized TV. The thing that struck us the most about the room was how quiet it was! Though it was busy, had families with kids, & we were only 1 room from the lobby, when the room door shut, we heard NOTHING outside the room, not even the semi traffic on either of the 4 lane roads going by the hotel!|We never did make it to swim in the pool, but did see some families enjoying it & they said the water was refreshingly cool. The 24/7 coffee bar also had hot water & 6 tea bag options. Breakfast was well stocked & had plentiful options: waffles, yogurt, pre-peeled hard boiled eggs, apples, mini donuts, muffins, oatmeal packets, cold cereal, milk, juice, sausage patties, egg disks (like what you find on breakfast sandwiches), bagels, cream cheese, PB, & assorted jellies. Most offerings had a choice or 2 (powdered sugar or chocolate donuts; 3 bagel flavors).|This was competitively priced, a block off of I29, & with the hotel as the center of a 3 block radius, there is (in no particular order) a 24 hr McDonalds, Popeye's chicken, KFC chicken, Fazoli's, Culver's, Taco Bell, Taco Johns, a steakhouse, a nice Indian sit-down restaurant, a casual Mexican restaurant, 2 small strip malls, a Dollar Tree, Walmart w/ gas station, Sam's club w/ member's only gas station, & a Pilot truck stop. According to my gas app, those 3 are consistently in the top 5 lowest priced stations in the entire Sioux City area as well!|The only things I can come up with to complain about? I wish bananas were a breakfast option, & it would be nice if both nightstands had a lamp & available outlets instead of just the 1 side. Luckily we travel with power banks & extra charging cords just in case we run into situations like this so it wasn't an issue for us. In our opinion, if that is all we could find to complain about, it's wonderful! This is definitely our go-to Sioux City area hotel from now on & we'll be suggesting it to anyone staying in the area!

I was helped by Sahil at check in and he gave me a great room for a great price and helped me find the most affordable price in town by letting me sign up for rewards and using the discounts on my room I was checking into. So clean and staff are lovely and kind. I love staying here it’s such a calming environment.

Stopped in here due to traveling a long distance and didn't check in till 12 a.m. Read the binder that they provided in the desk in the room and it clearly states that breakfast is from 6-10 a.m went down at 9:15 a.m and I was informed that breakfast was already over. The whole reason I booked here was to feed my family breakfast in the morning prior to continuing a long road trip. I was not the only guest trying to eat. Another guest got waffle batter ready and poured it in while after the waffle maker was unplugged because they too assumed breakfast was not over till 10. I felt bad as they had a toddler with them wanting to eat. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Spend your money elsewhere.

They charged me $200 for a broken smoke detector, and something that could have been ash or dust from the mud brought in by the flood. First of all I don't smoke, second I checked out at 1200 maid was outside my door when I left, they let someone else in the room after I left....apparently they left the room around 1420. I called their corporate number only to be told sorry about your luck it's a franchise. They told me to talk to the manager, but the manager was most of the problem. I went to the lobby a few days later with a gopro so I could get a look at their so called evidence. 2 grainy pics 1 of dust and another of a smoke detector. Neither of these are evidence I asked to see the 200 dollar smoke detector but they opted to call the police. They had me trespassed for absolutely no reason.

I've stayed at this hotel three times now just for overnighters. They are very clean, friendly, and quiet. I've not had one bad experience with them. I am very likely to stay there again should the need arise. I am very pleased with them.
