Art museum and activities are excellent for kids as well as adults. Kudos to art collectors and museum curators. Excellent work!!! Must visit to know rich culture. Full day also is not enough to see everything keenly. Reducing 1 star for food arrangements for large crowd. It's unmanageable on weekends and only regular thali is available that too after waiting for 1+ hours. Food taste is good though keeping the brand name of Poona Guest House! Have some pop-up local food fair/self help group stalls on weekends. Let people experience food culture as well :-)

It's very beautifully done project that is very much beyond a museum. It's a conservation place for our enrich regional cultural heritage. It's a great representation of Maharashtra's culture ranging from the old households representation, different everyday tools from past which are no longer used, the evolution of regional clothing, jewellery and even the Marathi language. There are many other galleries depicting the work of various known and unknown artists from various backgrounds. The wood work or the metal works from the bygone era gives a sense of knowledge that our ancestors had. Apart from all the galleries, the landscaping of this place is neatly done with numerous different trees and plant with water bodies. There is a small temple right of the edge of Khadakwasla backwaters and surrounded by tall trees, a perfect place to find solitude. Here they also give good patronage to the singing, dancing and other such live cultural activities. Usually on the weekends they arrange some or the other live program. When we visited we got to experience the live session of Saxophone, it was indeed a magical experience. They have one auditorium with a capacity of 200 people and another amphitheatre with capacity of around 600 people. Auditorium is well equipped with all the modern technology. The amphitheatre gets the scenic backdrop of entire Khadakwasla dam. Can be a perfect spot for any program. There is a cafe which serves good range of food and it's quite tasty. The prices are little higher than usual. There are clean toilets everywhere and are well maintained. There is an entry fee of Rs. 200 on weekends and Rs. 100 on weekdays. It only includes the gallery visit and the live sessions if there are any.Other love activities like caricature, pottery, block printing are extra charged. Wheel chair facility is available along with lift for elderly or differently abled people. Overall a perfect outing place for families or friends to spend an entire day here. Would definitely recommend it and visit again for sure.

Zapurza Museum is a captivating journey through history, art and culture. The museum is in a nice spot, and you'll have fun exploring all the different art forms and antique pieces inside. It's like taking a journey through time and imagination, discovering how people lived and expressed themselves back in those days. Enjoy :)

Overall Nice experience visiting the place. Ideal season to visit in my opinion is any day just exclude Summer & rainy days. They have many galleries in total 10 to see. Let me divide review in below sections. 1) How to Visit. 1.a) Located in Kudje Village on the back side of khadakwasla dam its nearest public transport alight point is NDA gate. Hence it is recommended to hire a private vehicle for the whole tour duration or come by own vehicle. 1.b) Tickets can be purchased online before coming to Museum, I found that at entrance they also have counter for tickets. 1.c) Prices of tickets are higher on weekends & Museum opens 1 hour early as well on weekends. 2) Places to see- It is advisable to keep around 4-5 hrs in total for whole visit. I recommend breaking the visit in 2 parts pre-lunch & post lunch. visiting 3-4 galleries before lunch then after lunch enjoy the garden & walk through the property. Take pictures on scenery & then come back to see remaining gallery. And at the end visit the Souvenir shop. 2.a) Considering its more focused on arts & culture, please take time to go through all galleries read the details & do not hurry. 2.b) It has a total of 10 Galleries Plus 1 Auditorium, 1 Studio, 1 Visitor centre, 1 Cafeteria, 1 workshop, 1 open air amphitheatre, 1 sanskruti Gallery & 1 Shiv Temple. In front of each gallery, they describe what it is so you get fair idea before entering in it. 2.c) The place is equipped with proper Toilets adjacent to Cafeteria so not to worry about in that matter. 2.d) In some galleries they also have workshop to give basic training on Glass painting. Block printing on plain carry bags etc which is chargeable. The way to spin charkha & derive the cotton threads was a free training in Gandhi Smaran gallery. 2.e) Occasionally they also have classical concerts also, but to be aware of you need to keep eye on their website. 3) Food- 3.a) The Cafeteria is managed by Poona Guest House & has ample space to sit. 3.b) They have AC & Non-AC both dining facility available in Cafeteria. It has sitting area on first floor as well. 3.c) There are variety of items on menu. Food was Nice. I particularly liked the Thali. 4) Pros- 4.a) Nice attempt to preserve art & culture through Private collection. 4.b) Outside the hustle bustle of city it's a Well landscaped property to visit. 4.c) Houses many items which many of us have forgotten & would be happy to see them. Kids & younger generation needs to see all galleries to understand Paintings & many old era items which are no longer used & it will amuse them as what that thing was in old days which contributed in human progress. 5) Area to improve- 5.a) They can try pick up & drop facility to boost the business. 5.b) Prices of items at Souvenir shops needs to be a bit more economical. 5.c) The textile gallery needs to have more articles, though the hall was a big as others but had the lowest count of cloth pieces in display.

A great art Museum to visit in Pune. This place can be a treasure for any art lovers. The museum is situated in a very peaceful lakeside in a big area of land. There are a lot of great paintings from many famous artists. The display is divided into 10 small galleries. Many of these displays are taking us through a journey of Indian art and aesthetics. The place also displays many wide variety of archeological materials. -4-5 hrs required, full day recomended -Great restaurant is handled by Pune guest house -The restrooms and facility is great -Entry fee is 100 -Peaceful space -Workshops and activities available suggestions 1. Improve service for cafe. There is a lot of mismanagement. It takes so much time to deliver all the orders, and each item comes at different times. 2.I would suggest the staff to consider checking the lightings of galleries such that there is enough light to experience each painting. 3. And English translation in all art descriptions, I had to use Google translate in many places.

Amazing museum of India's rich heritage, art and culture. They have total 10 galleries with amazing paintings, sculptures, photos, vintage jewelry, historical things, bollywood history and lot more. The amphitheatre and auditorium is also there. You will need around 3 hrs to see all the galleries and surroundings properly. The Puna guest house cafeteria is also good and serves good food. Overall very good and a must visit place and spend a day. The ticket on weekdays is INR 100 and on weekends it is INR 200 which is much more expensive. They should keep the same rate all days.
