YWCA Women's Hostel - Working Women's Hostel in Aluva - Ernakulam, India

I literally got a bad experience and the food is extremely rubbish. The timing of the hostel is un acceptable.we have to get in at 7:00pm. After 7:00pm they will close the gate.For the working employees it must be a problem. Even in this 21st century we need to get a permission to go out on holidays.

The building itself is ages old and barely maintained. Unclean rooms and bathrooms (bathrooms are separate for toilet and bathing and not attached and there are 4 of each for 8 rooms with 4 sharing people) Maintenance is so low, and only done after many weeks. No proper place to dispose pads and one must throw and burn the waste themselves. Unhygenic kitchen, hair found in food. There's 0 privacy here, what's said in one room can be heard 4 rooms away. The curfew is at 7pm. Conservative mindset of people running the hostel-- can't even wear shorts in a women's hostel. If I could give 0 stars that's what I would be giving. YWCA doesn't live upto its name or reputation that I've heard.

Actually it's a hall ,we had a small gathering regards Cancer awarness event . Breast cancer awareness is very important to females ,be it your mother ,your wife ,your sister or your daughter..proper awareness leads to right treatment at the right time and this saves a life..

Low quality food, unhygienic kitchen premises and cook, harsh behaviour towards students, old building, no seperate plug points, rude warden also. Bad experience especially food.

Quality of food is not upto the expectation,rude behaviour, BONUS -WE CAN ALSO GET HAIR FROM OUR FOOD (UNHYGIENIC), NO privacy Rude behaviour to students Not recommending this hostel
