Pleasant staff, Good experience. Would suggest...hot water in the toilets, after a day's travel within Chennai....look forward to a nice warm water bath. Sadly solar won't help all the time.
Very calm and peaceful place with lots of greenery in the centre of the city.The food is delicious and homely style without any preservative and trustworthy. But can overlook the property with little more attention from the management side will ensure this guest house in the next level of living experience. Please consider this suggestions in positive manner will helps the infrastructure to attain an international level of experience. See you in future!!!
I have stayed at YWCA few times last year and the service was very good but i am very much disappointed with the service and hospitality this time. I stayed in room no 314 on 22nd June 2023. 1. I stayed with my family and asked for a king size bed since we have a small kid but was given separate beds 2. Asked them to swap the room later and was given confirmation that it will be provided in the evening but due to carelessness of Britto it was never done as promised 3. Chair was broken &TV cable connection was not working and there was no response even 2 hours after informing them. Very much disappointed with the way Britto had responded and handled things in a lethargic manner. This would be the last time i am gonna stay at this venue. Not sure whether the management will look into this but still wanted to bring it to their notice. Person booking just 1 room should be treated the same way a customer who books multiple rooms are being treated. if hospitality and the way we are being treated is important i would not suggest this place to anybody going forward.
Rooms, Location and ambience is good. Staff were helpful and friendly. However they charge for children above 7yrs which was disappointing.
Heads up, if you're looking for a super posh hotel this ain't one; but this is unique in its own way. Situated right infront of the egmore metro makes commuting to any part of the chennai city a breeze. There's free 24 hr checkin as well, so you need not wait until 12. 00 noon. Complimentary breakfast is just amazing. Lunch, cafe (in the evenings) and the dinner is just so good! above all, the campus itself is so cool surrounded by trees (yes-in the middle of the concrete jungle) i'd highly recommend this property for anyone -solo travellers, families, friends, etc. Happy staying!
Been staying for awhile, everything is just comfortable to me, they are polite and you can always receive greetings from their overwhelming smiles. Few improvements are: 1)Not all room provide kettle, so you need to request it from the counter for few times 2)Room service isn't everyday, sometimes they only come on the third day Overall, I still very much enjoy my time here
Good hotel, room maintaining excellent, Nearby station tariff was average so,try to next time also, breakfast only unsatisfied, not more varieties, only one main dish and coffee, fruit salad,that only improved was i expected, otherwise better...
The property is quiet and beautiful but the rooms are very old and the standards followed are not like hotels.
