Welcome Hotel Gulmarg - Hotel in Gulmarg, Nagbal - Baramulla, India

The location is very good. Rooms are getting renovated we really loved the renovated rooms and washroom we got a very good view from everywhere in the room and restaurant also. Would say their complementary breakfast was very good. Staff was very cooperative. Would suggest everyone to not go for old rewiese the hotel have come up with very new features..

This hotel the positive aspects are 1. The location 2. The view. 3. The hospitality and service. Staff is very cooperative and ready to help you and give their best service. The negative aspects are The hotel is quiet old and the rooms are pathetic. The upkeep is very bad with broken walls, dirty flooring and dirty linen. If one has a better choice, he should look for other options.

Worst hotel I ever seen. No bed heater. No room heater (provides 1 very small heater which is effective in 1 feet area only). They shutdown electricity in the night. They don't bother how much cold is outside or inside. Nobody will be at reception during night. In the morning, everybody were shouting like anything on receptionist. I will strongly recommend NOT TO STAY in WELCOME hotel, Gulmarg.

It's a budget hotel with basic rooms.. doesn't even have basic amenities like mirror (in the room), hair dryer, dental kit etc. Only 3 of the so called renovated rooms had a jet spray in the washroom. We asked for lunch options and it they had only 2-3 items available. The service was slow and took them almost 45 minutes to serve the lunch in our room. The only good thing about the hotel is it's location.

Almost every hotel in Gulmarg got a awesome mountain view. Hotel welcome too have best mountain view and very close to shiv temple. Food is good and room service little need to be improve.

Great hospitality and service by hotel staff. Staff was really responsive to all our needs. I forgot my wireless earphones there , and I asked hotel staff to courier it to my address , Mr Sajad Ahmad Khan searched my room , found it and couriered it to my address without any delay. I am really thankful to Mr Sajad Ahmad Khan for his service .

Zero STAR. Worst hotel ever seen. We a group of 7 couples went for Kashmir Trip during 15th to 21st June 2023. On 17th June we checked in at Welcome Hotel Gulmarg at about 4.00 pm. We found that the entire hotel very shabby, unclean and congested. Rooms were dirty. Tiles broken. Bathrooms dirty. Carpets seems as if never cleaned for past many years. Bed sheets, pillows etc were dirty. We immediately contacted our Travel Agent. They tried to get another accommodation for us but could not as there was rush and booking could not be done elsewhere due to late hours. But next morning itself we vacated the hotel whereas otherwise we were scheduled to stay there for two nights. Worst part was that in dinning hall roof was leaking and water fell in the plate of of one member twice. In two bath rooms out of 7, there was no water supply in the morning and two couples had to take bath in others room. Food quality at night in dinner as well as in the morning breakfast was also very poor. There was nothing positive about the hotel, except its location which gives a good view and co-operative staff. We booked it on the basis of pics posted at hotel site in the Google. But alas, it was a very bad decision . Never in life we had such miserable stay in any hotel. It was informs by the staff that the pics of hotel posted in Google are more than decades old and the hotel has never been renovated since then. Posting a few pics also. We shall never recommend anyone to stay in that dirty hotel and accord it a ZERO STAR rating.

I felt at home in this hotel. Owner of the hotel, Shanar and the people who work there including Momin, Hilal among many others were extremely helpful. Being a solo female traveller, I felt safe as these people looked out for me. Would definitely recommend for anyone. Incase you have any questions, give a call to the hotel.
