Wasabi by Morimoto - Japanese restaurant in Mumbai - Mumbai, India

One of the best Japanese restaurants in town although a little overpriced. Its a must try but only a once try kind of a restaurant. Except the rock shrimp tempura which wasn't that great in terms of taste none of the dishes justify their price when it comes to the portion or the lack of it. The spicy angel shrimp sushi which is their take on prawn tempura sushi with a different sauce which came recommended by the server is a must try but the portion is a little underwhelming. The king crab robatayaki was good but neither the the taste nor the portion justify the price. The dessert which again came recommended by the server was the highlight of the night. I would recommend going to the restaurant even if its just to try the dessert.

Feels premium 6.Taken care of every small ,thing Con: 1. Food variety according to Indian Cuisine is less. 2. Drinking Water bottle charges are high and extra service charge. Conclusion: Improve in Indian food varieties . Drinking water bottles should be free, and less service charge to be taken.

Our recent visit to @wasabi turned out to be an incredibly delightful experience. From the moment we stepped into the bustling establishment, we were charmed by the vibrant ambiance, polite staff, and, most importantly, the outstanding Japanese cuisine. Situated in a quaint corner, the restaurant exuded an enchanting and intimate aura, setting the mood for a romantic evening. The dimmed lighting and soothing instrumental music created an intimate atmosphere, perfect for an unforgettable date night. The restaurant was bustling with patrons, yet the seating arrangement provided enough privacy to enjoy conversations without feeling overwhelmed. The staff's warm welcome and impeccable service added an extra touch of elegance to the evening. Polite and attentive waitstaff promptly attended to our needs throughout the evening, making us feel genuinely cared for. The knowledgeable server guided us through the menu, helping us choose from a wide variety of authentic Japanese dishes.

This place is amazing! If I could give more than 5stars I would! Not only the food is impeccable but the service and hospitality is top notch. The staff was so attentive and detail oriented, making it a truly one of the kind experience. It is an intimate restaurant, not overly crowded with tables. So, if you want to have the great experience, you need to make reservations well in advance.

The position it situated is awesome. Atmosphere is totally astonishing. Food is very good so that you came here again and again. The workers are so gentle and friendly manner. You must visit once and you won't regret.

After reading many good reviews and recommendations, we came to Wasabi with very high expectations, but the whole dinning experience was very disappointing, I suggest if you are Asian or foodie who has been to other countries and tried Japanese food, don't waste your money here. We ordered 2 non-veg omasake, 2 soft beverages, 1 appetizer and 1 sushi, combination of omasake was a tragedy-- heavy appetizers, everything was dipped in strong sauce, mayonnaise and Jalapenos on top, after thick starters they served light flavor nigiri sushi-- your palate are already tired at this time, the mushroom rice and dessert are ok, but can't smooth our bad feeling, it's the fusion Japanese cuisine that caters to foreigner taste, the whole dinner cost around INR 25,000, you will definitely have better options in Mumbai, especially Mumbai has bunch of fresh seafood can choose. Maybe because Wasabi is located in Taj Palace thus it's so overpriced, but even more disappointed to have food of this quality under this shiny brand. And one more thing to note, you can't even see gate way of India in the night, there's only dark outside, they don't maintain the sights like others around the world.

I visited this place with my friends, food and service was too good, all prices are reasonable. It was absolutely delicious. The service was also . Service staff was very polite. They gave us great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had an amazing experience at Wasabi by Morimoto. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.
