Vivanta Sikkim, Pakyong - Hotel in Pakyong - East District, India

We were here in September 2022 for a family trip. It was an amazing stay and literally an out of the world experience. The location of hotel is great except for the drive way to reach there. They were absolutely fantastic hosts. They made our stay memorable. Specially Samdrup, who helped us everywhere in all possible manner. The chef who headed from Andaman was also amazing. He made us Andaman fame breakfast which was unforgettable. Not to forget the restaurant manager. She got prepared Sikkimese delicacies for our dinner. They took care of our meal choices. The view from the room and corridor was stunning. Overall it was an experience worth it. Thank you Vivanta for this experience!

Service and rooms were amazing. The location is very bad and completely outside the city. The route to the hotel doesn't feel safe. The roads are not good and there are no people around. You can go for it if you want to stay away from travelling but just want to chill at the hotel for couple of days. But if you want to travel places in Sikkim, would recommend going for Ramada hotel in Gangtok.

I have always liked Sikkim. It has been my favourite mountain getaway. But this time I fell in Love all over again thanks to the hospitality of Vivanta at Pakyong. The warmth of the Welcome by Kishen and the immediate upgradation of our room, the extraordinary treatment of the staff at their restaurant Mynk, the service with a smile of the front office and the Special treatment by Sumanto during reservation made our trip memorable.

Very beautiful location and property. Nestled among the hills with fantastic views from the room. The food at the property was delicious with the chef accommodating our requests as well. The activity guide, Pawan, was superb in his organisation and arrangements. Arranged a picnic for us on top of a hill in the middle of the forest. Took us to see local trails and homestays. We saw the true beauty of Sikkim thanks to him. Would definitely recommend the entire experience!

Vivanta is a nice hotel but it's location is the worst. There are two ways to get to the hotel, one was destroyed by a landslide and the other road is full of potholes and it's really not safe at night to travel on this route. We were really careful about the timings of our sightseeing as we didn't want to travel on these roads at night. This road continues about 30 minutes and every time I traveled through this route I regretted my whole stay in this hotel. But Sikkim made it all worth it as it is a beautiful place, gorgeous sights to see and is a very peaceful state. I would recommend a hotel which is close to Gangtok as this hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere.

This property is very beautiful and located at a very scenic place with great views of the Sikkim ranges and perhaps the Himalayas as well on a clear day. Over all a great experience with the front desk staff, the food service, choice of food items are all very worth it. However with few cautions and suggestions to the travelers. Firstly if you take their travel desk assistance to plan your sightseeing, please do your homework well and do not depend on them to tell what to do. They charge you a bom and not necessarily cover all the places. We missed few good places as we were rushed. Secondly try to ask for well maintained vehicles as we did not get the best of the lot which was owned by them. The vehicle condition was very average, although very expensive.

It is very rare for me to write a review while still staying at a hotel however the experience has been so bad that it has forced me to write one . The hotel has great views which is about the only good thing about this hotel, the service standards are extremely poor overall right from giving false wake up alarm at 4.30 am to the cab being delayed by more than one hr . Finally the staff has a habit of giving false information and making false commitments. Above all the location is in the middle of nowhere with very poor connectivity .This is definitely not upto the usual Tata standards.

Amazing hotel, very spacious common areas, lot of places to idle around with friends & family. Good food, great staff & service. If you are looking to holiday in peace & tranquility away from hustle & bustle look no further. The moment you have to go to the City this becomes a huge bottleneck. Although the travel desk at the hotel will help arrange vehicles but you have to be careful to preschedule (Limited Ad-hoc cab availability). Beyond the hotel restaurant, there are no places to eat nearby. If you are planning to idle at the hotel, apart from the pool kids will not have much to do (The hotel does organize activities but I found them to be expensive). The approach road from the Pakyong airport side has been destroyed due to landslide and the cabs take a long detour to the hotel. Although the broken roads are not hotel responsibility but it ruins the experience. As there is Zero traffic around the hotel, its a great place to walk in the morning. Travelling in a group, the hotel was kind to arrange rooms next to each other. If you are a group and plan to idle at the hotel this is a great place to be.
