Talk about a phenomenal sunset with a freakin' view Honestly these massive 1,100 year old ruins tucked away in this unsuspecting Delhi neighborhood are just absolutely surreal I mean standing on top of these B-E-A-utiful ancient structures watching the sun give way to darkness it honestly doesn't even feel like your surrounded by over 32 million people in this megacity. It's actually somehow quite. Tranquil. Almost unreeeeal I met some local dudes who shared this rooftop sunset with me. This made an already incredible experience all the more better Abandoned places like this are why we travel and explore far away lands... If I'm honest this ole beaut has been one of my favorite places I have discovered here in Indiaaaa thus far
Seriously great place ever, my experience has been good and when u climb on peak of Bijay mandal then you see the most beautiful view of nature and buildings. *Walking distance from nearest metro station Hauz khas, Exit Gate No 01. *Free of cost. *Best season for visit is November to February (winters).

Bijai Mandal once known for thousand-Pillared palace build by Alauddin khilji is now a ruined fort due to negligence. Entrance fees is 0 Photography is allowed inside the tomb Ideal time to visit early in th morning or late in the evening.
Built possibly by Allauddin Khilji & described as the thousand pillared palace by Ibn Batuta. This might have been Hazar Sutan Palace, he wrote about. Was difficult to find it as the board of Archaeological Survey of India was in ruins, no guards and no tickets and the ruins are used by local riff raff children to play games and the local youth use the area to drink and take drugs and throw all sorts of garbage around. Not suggested for taking female companions or family members and even men could be mugged here as there is no one around.
Very ruined place.. good for smokers.. rednecks.. and all... Next to FIITJEE.. but it is a good place to visit once.. u can go up... And u can see the beauty inside it... Very dirty place.. everyone throw garbage here i think.. the height of the monument is quite appealing..
Excellent open space in the middle on the clustered area. It is neat, just the walls are starting to crumble. You'll find one are where the roof has caved in completely. Other sections are starting to fall off- may want to visit before it crumbles completely :) probably not on the priority list for intach or asi- I didn't see any plaques with information, hopefully someone else will be able to provide some insight.
The ruins of an old monument within the Sarvapriya Vihar colony. However it is in ruins. It is amazing how Delhi has these small corners with a lot of history in between colonies.
