Victory Mansion Lodge - Hotel in Chennai - Chennai, India

Well, the hotel location was appropriate as it was located relatively near by both Chennai central and Chennai egmore railway stations. It was close to bus stand and marina beach as well. But the hotel in itself was not totally satisfactory owing to its charges. I have got better hotels through gostays in lesser price. The room was small and bathroom was even smaller but both were clean. A very old TV was there but unfortunately the room has a single socket for charging and other purposes. Its not too bad a hotel if you wanna spend most of your time outside. As a student, i found hotel charges to be little higher according to the quality of hotel. But its a fine place to go as a student and with friends even.

PROS: 1. The hotel is situated at an excellent position. 2. The deluxe Non-A/C rooms are spacious and clean. 3. Staffs are friendly. 4. Overall appearance is decent and neat. 5, The room-rate is cheap. CONS. 1. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned only at a specific time, no matter whether you are present or not. 2. Out of the 8 days we stayed there, the lift was non-functional for more than 4 days. 3. The hotel has no central kitchen. so you have to go out for tiffin/lunch/dinner whatever be the weather.

hotel is completely average one , what we see in pics and in real is completely a different picture. Hotel has numerous drawbacks like - no geyser is working , no network inside the hotel , you find 4-5 plug boards none were in working condition except one and that was connected to tv - if u put mobile or power bank in charging you have to switch off the tv , full of mosquitoes. so it should be 1 star why 3 I have given. inspite of all this cons - the staff managed to there level best when ever I asked , as no geyser works - they provided with electric heating rod to heat water , as no network - they gave wifi , in few issues I took my own I initiative like to get rid of mosquitoes by getting coils . the hotel is completely average in that sense not favorable for family stay - if you are a single traveller no issues and we can adjust and it's completely budget friendly - we cannot expect more than this for such low price . I hope they provide alternative solutions only to delux rooms - so it's better to choose delux room over normal one and it's just 200 more over normal one. One suggestion - try to repair plug boards - this is the only thing I personally couldn't adjust there is only one plug if laptop is connected to mobile charge or powerbank charge or no tv , we should choose only one and manage others. As a student it's not completely best place to stay - the lights are dim and no natural light in room - we find our eyes stressed while studying.

Considering the price, the place was decent enough. Towels were provided per person and one bedsheet per room. TV channels work only for Tamil and Hindi languages, rest aren't subscribed. Bathroom is tiny. Flush in my room didn't work. Friendly staff. Cleanliness wise it's okay. Good for low budget trip when you don't wanna spend time in the room. It is situated in a narrow street that can get quite "sunsaan" at night. Hot water is available only in the mornings from 7-9 am and was provided in a bucket.

With a low budget the stay was okay. But not recommended for couples. Only too spend one or too night this can be availed. Lift is not available for all the floors. Room service not available. Rooms are not well maintained and clean. Bed making and room cleaning is not done daily basis. They have no resturants. Towels not provided.

We found this place very convenient with my boyfriend during our travel in India. However, it is quite a budget place, so don't expect something super fancy, but it's a good quality for price. They charge extra for the A/C, but there are fans in the room. Good WiFi, TV and towels are coming with the room. We liked the location, it wasn't too noisy.

It's a good hotel where you can feel a comfortable stay but there are two problems ; 1. No hindi nor English channels available to watch 2.salty water supplied in room, If hotel administration improve these things , it could be a great stay for everyone. Hotel provide clean linen as well as room.

1 of Receptionist was nt well behaved. Just 1 stuff behavior was good, bt nt professional. Didn't clean room regular even we told them again and again. Room environment ok. Salty water some times. It could be better (all setuation) if they want ...
