It is a very nice place, The monsoon season is not recommended, better to visit in summer. Veer Savarkar Park is located right in front of the Cellular Jail in Port Blair, You can come here to get some rest after your visit to the jail or while you are waiting for your chance to attend the light and sound show. You can witness the pride of the past in the form of a really good collection of statues of our freedom fighters. The park also has a few rides for kids.

A small beautiful park located right opposite to Cellular Jail. This park is dedicated as a memorial for the patriots who were locked up in the Cellular Jail. This park has the statues of freedom fighters who lost their life during their imprisonment in the jail. It also has inscriptions about the freedom fighters below their statues, those stories were very inspiring. During night this park is well lit and has a breathtaking view of Aberdeen Jetty Point. This is a open park has no entry fees.
