We had breakfast fast at Uttar Dakshin by Madras cafe a pure vegetarian restaurant, on our way to Kedar. Nice taste. We had dosa idli and vada. Also they served tasty parantha and tea. Ambience was nice and it was economic. It was good and we liked our breakfast and i recommend Uttar Dakshin for breakfast for you.
Good food costs you more in Rishikesh. Nevertheless, to meet that quality needs real skill. We had lacha paratha, roti and veg kofta, and a lime soda for lunch. All the dishes were better than each other. And all were served in real quick time. Courtesy of the service staff was really commendable. Very good experience.

I regret going to uttar dakshin by madras cafe. It was the worst dining experience of my life. The name is a joke as the food has no resemblance to madras or south Indian cuisine. The service was atrocious and incompetent. The staff was impolite and disrespectful. The manager was rude and arrogant. He ignored our complaints and argued with us. The food was disgusting and flavorless. The portions were tiny and exorbitant. The hygiene was appalling and the place was filthy. I would advise everyone to avoid this place at all costs. It is a rip-off and a disgrace.
