Such a fantastic hostel! The outside doesn't do it justice, so don't judge it by it. Rooms and bathroom are clean, there's a great common area and dining room, and a kitchen (such a rare treat in India!) Plus a nice little balcony to hang laundry and watch the monkeys. Aayush is super friendly and attentive, he even made chai for me :) I got a beautiful postcard as a souvenir and great memories from Shimla and this hostel. Don't doubt it! - The only odd thing is that the washroom is accessed from two different rooms, so you gotta remember to lock (and then unlock) both doors when you go in. But I stayed there a week and not once did I have a problem. Also, there's always hot water!!
The twin bedroom is v basic, if you use the shower it becomes damp (there is some mould on the walls) and your clothes will not dry even in summer. Saying that the bed was v comfy, location is great, and being a small hostel you have good community feel with the others.
The customer service team refused a refund after I couldn't make it due to floods. In my experience this is a terrible sign of customer service and I'll look for another place when I come to Shimla. Hopefully though I can come back and change this review!
The only reason you should stay here is the host. Rooms- The shared room is very small and feels all cramped up with other guests. Some small renovations were on in the toilet when we visited there. Parking - This place has parking at some distance, which is a good thing, but they charge a hefty amount for that. Shimla things! Accessibility- The ridge is a 15-minute walk from here. It's an uphill walk, and you might loose a breath for a while.
Stayed at this place and the person who runs this was down to earth and clam.. Really loved the vibes here you can find like minded travelers if you want to tag along.. Over all had a stay with you thank you see you soon
I would recommend this hostel for all the solo traveller's. I came solo but never felt solo here. Had lots of fun playing chess. Thanks ayush and suraj for hosting me and also for dropping me at the bus stand.
Good place overall. Found new friends here. The staff ie Ayush was extremely helpful. Only thing I'd ask them to improve is the washroom, some faucets weren't working (It was manageable though) But hygeine-wise good
Had an excellent time here ! The hostel is very welcoming and it felt like home. It is located at the hillside and you have a wonderful view over Shimla and the mountains around. Moreover, it is located only 10 mins by walk from the city center. But the best thing about it is the manager Kiran who was super friendly and helpful, he helped us with everything that we needed and when we got sick, he even prepared food for us, free of cost. So this Place got my absolute recommendation
