Tivai Beach Cottages - Hotel in Calangute - North Goa, India

The location is awesome, peaceful and decent crowd. The first part was the hotel. Booked a non-ac room but upgraded once we reached there and felt the heat. Things i disliked: 1. No security as such. No main gate, anyone can come and go, but hey the neighbor's dog barks everytime there's someone even if it's 4am. 2. nothing good to say about the rooms, the bathroom had a permanent resident, a frog who refuses to leave. The beds have ants. 3. Like i said, i upgraded to an AC room only to find the is no power back up, even for the fans. I was able to hardly use it. Only reason to give 2 stars is the location and people around are very helpful. Would not recommend this, unless you are okay with the above points.

STAY AWAY.!!! MOST UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS PLACE FOR LADIES AND FAMILIES. I had a very bad experience here. During day time, the staff enter the room for cleaning purpose and unlock the window locks. At night, the staff come outside the cottage and peep inside. It was a shock for us that night and we vacated the very next day.

Cottages are next to beach Tivai. Not the best and cleanest cottage I have seen. You can rent both AC and Non Ac cottages. The price of cottages are 1800/- per AC cottages. Comfortable to 3 person in one cottage. The balcony have ocean side opening and the view from balcony is mind blowing. The drawbacks of the cottage is not proper hygiene is maintained. The sand is present all around the cottages as well on extra mattress also. The beach is absolutely gorgeous.

Wonderful place to stay. Simple, but very nice shacks on a stone throw away from the beach. Nice staff, very helpful. They will help you to get everything (rental bikes, trips, food) you need for reasonable prices.

The only plus point about this place is its location (right on Calangute beach) and the courteous Manager. **** The condition of the rooms are dilapidated. **** If you're expecting a pleasant stay and a good night sleep at night near the beach @ Tivai Beach Cottage then - FORGET IT. FORGET THE SLEEP, Because you WILL be greeted by Frogs, termites, cockroaches, spiders when they come to reclaim their territory. ----- On a serious note, we booked the place for two days and couldn't sleep for the first night because of the above mentioned issues + power cuts (there's no power backup). Second day we had to check out and book another place. ------ The cottages are not maintained, there are termite infested , washroom is not completely sealed as a result frogs etc were hopping in. They don't provide: 1. Towels 2. Soap 3. Water (In short- there's absolutely no service) ----- Lost my trust on Beach Side Cottages.

Lovely location, beach is 2 min walk from rooms.Chelesa beach sack is very good and very cooperative. Although hotels doesn't provide you water,food or any toiletries except towels but location and room make you forget that.Romeo is the man to call for any help,very cooperative and always available.so never think twice before booking.

Nice place to stay off summers During summers in day AC finds it tough to cool down the room. Also there is no kitchen service to the rooms. Good thing about the place is it is just close to beach and shacks nearby so you can visit them anytime. Also the space is remote in calangute.

Good Stay! Very neat, very comfortable. 10 steps walk to sea (its not sea facing). And the entire area is very safe for girls - nearby shacks, beach and cottage. The area is not overly crowded, very decent place. Good staffs.
