Technically it is actually a barrage not a dam, on river Mahanadi. Good place for short visit both with family and friends. It should be developed by authorities as a nature resort with options of food joints, sit out shelter for having food, proper toilets and they can develop good picnic river bank side as well. So much can be done to promote this place, this place has good potential being close to Raipur. The entrance gate is planned on a very bad angle, it should be changed, it cam lead to accident with running traffic. Such a beautiful place to relax, especially enjoy sundown. The charm of nature on a river bank is an experience.
Nice place to visit with family and friends. Atmosphere is quite pleasant, seen over the Dam is so beautiful, stachu of lord hanuman ji its huge and beautiful,garden is also good.
