Sonam is really a wonderful host. Not only she made us feel like home she went beyond and suggested us the best places in Sikkim to explore especially regarding stays. Thinlay homestay in my opinion is best in gangtok. You get a nice vibe and homely atmosphere and if you are ever planning to stay in gangtok I would definitely recommend this.

A very comfortable, clean and homely place to stay in Development Area. Cabs are easily available for MG Marg. I stayed here for 16 days and had a very comfortable stay without any glitch. Sonam is very accommodative with requests and makes sure you have a smooth stay. Breakfasts served by Purnima didi is sumptuous. Great value for money. I'll surely come back here to stay here if I'm in Gangtok again.

Best Hospitality. if you are planning to WFH from Sikkim then that is the place of all your questions. Power back up and wify backup. We stayed here for 22 days. In 22 days power just went 4-5 times that to for 20-30 mins. Tasty morning breakfast with variaties. Rooms are very cosy with electric blanket heater for bed(I am mentioning this here because in my homestays or hotel stays I did not find it for free on hill stations and really sometimes you need this).About location -- it's just 20-25 mins walk from M G Marg and taxi is available just outside the homestay. Sonam (owner) is very helping and she help us about the local cuisines and which hotels are good for that and about shopping options. There are local food home delivery apps are available in Gangtok. From home stay roof you can enjoy amazing view, pick of Kanchenjunga is visible from there on very clear whether. I did not see my luck. But one of the guest in next room she told me they saw the pick on there first day of arrival.

Anytime if I go to Gangtok this is going to be my first preference the place is also very peaceful,cozy the owners are friendly,no accurately they are like family they care and they are available almost Everytime we need them. They guided us properly. They made us dinner and the first dinner was complementary from their end and they gifted my wife a fruit basket even. They were so polite and helpful I had left my new phone in the cab and they help me to get it back the brother called the cab guy so many times and explained him and finally he got us our phone. I sometimes think and miss the experience out their. I would just love to stay their again and again.

My first ever homestay, and they have raised the bar so much. Incredibly warm and friendly hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Getting up at 5am to cook breakfast, providing any information that you may need to travel. The house is so beautiful and neat, and very near to all the amenities.

Best place to stay in gangtok and the authentic Chinese food is next level cooked by host itself.. Sonam - The host is a gem of a person.. Highly recommended Home stay. Guys have a stay here and Thank me later

Thinlay homestay is owned and managed by two amazing people Kunzang and Sonam. You will be welcomed in traditional Sikkimese style with a "Khada". The place is clean and wooden interior makes it look even more beautiful. It is located just 2.5 km from the MG Marg, the main market of Gangtok. Hosts will always be available to address any concern or query. Sonam herself is an excellent cook and she was kind enough to adjust her morning time and prepared breakfast for us according to our plan.

Thinlay homestay is the best home to stay at Gangtok... amazing hospitality, well maintained rooms, well planned amenities, home made food, large accessible area for guests. Sonam and Kunzang , you guys are amazing hosts .. Thanks for everything. It was more than we expected in every aspects.
