The Mall Road of Shimla is often crowded but it is where the city comes alive. Starting from lip smacking food, shopping options, bakery to a theatre Shimla Mall Road has it all. Weekend Evenings often unfold with cultural events and folk dances. The ridge is a place you might want to take a walk to.
Since 2010 to till date, i have visited many different mall roads of Himachal and Utrakhand but Shimla Mall road in total count atleast 8-9 times in different years, always best place for me to visit in any weather summer or winter ,In both. Always entertaining and good place to create new memories. For shopping purpose, meal purpose every brand and outlets are available here.
The mall, need i say more. This is the one landmark for which Shimla is world famous. This stretch of almost 1.5 km transcends into european feel as soon as you step feet on it. You can reach The Mall road, via lift in Shimla. The mall allow tourists the view of shimla valley, shimla city and jakhu. The mall is host to world famous Gatey theater, City townhall, fire department, police post, multiple famous shops and cafes. The mall and ridge culmilate at "scandal point". While walking at the mall, tourists get scenic view of sculpted traditional himachali art embossed on the mountain side. Must visit, is what i say.
Mall road is the beauty of shimla. This place is full of varius brand stores, eating points and old buildings of the british era. Really loved the stone buildings.
The Mall road stretches From scandal point to US club Shimla. All branded showrooms are on this road. From clothes to eatables, shoes to accessories, bakeries and cafes all services are available here. The view of beautiful Jakhu temple is also visible from here. The historic Gaiety theatre is also near the Mall.
If ur book lover and happen to be in and around Shimla. It's must to visit this ongoing book fair and also enjoy the beautiful Mall Road.
