Good place for students specially to connect their studies and stories posted there.
But concern is they are asking to park the vehicle outside the entrance even though they have place for parking which can be improved.
It's has automatic ticket machine. Entry ticket is 50 rs.
Toilet is there inside.Small garden there around the museum.
If anybody explaining the things then itw I'll be easy to understand.
It is a military museum. The history covers the advent of British and pre independence wars in the South ,which eventually resulted in consolidation and establishment of British rule in southern India. It also covers the early raising of native infantry regiments under the Crown and their subsequent evolution into Madras regiment, one of finest regiments in the present day Indian Army.
Good place to visit. Have captured many details and have a special AV of Operation Meghdoot.
Do visit if possible. Souvenir shops have some cool things as well to help you cherish the memory

Thier are no shops near by, here shops are not allowed to sell plastic water bottles, so one will not find water bottles , only big bottles one will find, so it is better to Carry one before travelling these places.

My visit to the Madras Regimental Museum was truly remarkable. The museum's deep sense of patriotism resonated with me as I explored the rich history and battles fought by the regiments. What stood out was the seamless experience at the fully automated ticket counter, making entry a breeze.
Located in Coonoor, away from the hustle and bustle of Ooty, this museum feels like a hidden treasure. It's a place that deserves more recognition for the unique experience it offers.
I was pleasantly surprised by the museum's souvenir shop, which featured heavily discounted items. It's a fantastic spot to find meaningful mementos to take home.
The highlight of my visit was the model bunker, allowing visitors to step into the shoes of a battlefield soldier. Equipped with real semi-automated rifles, helmets, and protective suits, this immersive experience added depth and excitement to my time there.
In conclusion, the Madras Regimental Museum is an absolute must-visit. It offers a genuine journey through history in a peaceful setting, making it a hidden gem for history enthusiasts. If you're in the area, don't miss the chance to explore this exceptional museum.
Dont miss it If you're in there!
