I visited this restaurant and was excited to try their offerings, but I found the prices to be quite high for the portion sizes and quality of food. While the ambiance was pleasant and the service was decent, the overall value for the money spent left me a bit disappointed. It's a nice place for an occasional treat, but the high prices might make it less accessible for regular visits.
Price is too high..what a stupid biriyani worth 180.Atleast give tasty food with high price. Normal soda lime price is 50.what are they selling is they putting gold sprinkles on it
We had ordered an egg briyani with Chicken Roast. Briyani tasted good. Chicken roast was really yummy and the chicken was well cooked.
Tried thier chicken biriyani and meals with the family today .The food quality was very poor.Had such a disastorous experience.Wouldnt recommend to anyone. The price was very high as well.
During my recent visit to Kumarakom, I had the pleasure of dining at Kumarakam Kitchen, and it was an absolute delight for my taste buds. The restaurant's reputation for serving tasty food certainly lived up to its name.
The menu showcased a fantastic selection of dishes, including both local Kerala cuisine and other Indian specialities. Each dish was prepared with great attention to detail, using fresh and high-quality ingredients. Whether it was traditional Kerala seafood delicacies, aromatic biryanis, or delectable vegetarian options, every bite was a burst of flavours.
The staff at Kumarakam Kitchen were not only attentive but also friendly and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. They were more than willing to provide recommendations and cater to any dietary preferences, making the dining experience personalized and enjoyable.
Must visit
An absolutely disastrous dining experience!!!!! Never would one imagine a restaurant to serve such low quality food.. We found it bad due to the following reasons:
1) The A/C in the room was practically useless
2) The chicken biryani ordered was too oily
3) Karimeen pollichathu was basically bland and the term " pollichathu" was a scam
4) Prawns roast too was bland
5) Fish curry meals wasn't up to the mark with mushy rice, watery fish curry and bland mezhukkpuratti
6) The restaurant didn't have a basic toilet facility and the wash area too was dirty.
However, the lime juices were refreshing.
All in all the worst hotel I've entered in Kottayam!!
Food was very bad and bland. Biriyani was full of oil and was tasteless. Karimeen was very bad and not even worth 700rs. Overall a very bad experience and I recommend everyone to not go here. Please save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
Worst food. Don't order biriyani, Kappa biriyani or veg kurma.
These are the food we ordered. And biriyani was like they boiled rice and boiled chicken. Then added some salt them some ingredients for making it look like biriyani.
Kappa biriyani is like Kappa mixed with meat masala. Not a single piece beef will not be in it.
Veg kurma. Vegitables was half boiled and without any taste

We absolutely loved our experience.
We booked a 1 bedroom houseboat with A/C in the bedrooms. It was spacious and clean and the bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with an English toilet (no toilet paper only a water jet so take that if you need it!).
We booked olala house boat with the help of Mrs. Jessitha, thanks for booking it with shorter notice. The experience was really good. The owner Mr. Shreejit and the crew members hospitality was awesome.
