AMRUTHAM HOUSEBOATS (KUMARAKOM HOUSEBOATS) - Houseboat rental service in Kumarakom - Kottayam, India

We absolutely loved our experience. We booked a 1 bedroom houseboat with A/C in the bedrooms. It was spacious and clean and the bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with an English toilet (no toilet paper only a water jet so take that if you need it!). The top deck is lovely and they have made it a very comfortable to relax and enjoy the backwaters. We spent a lot of the day here. The food OMG. So much food and tasty! They provide a lot of variety and large portions. We mentioned that I am vegetarian (eggs ok) and my husband eats meat and they accommodated it all! They even caught a fresh fish for my husband and prepared that for him for lunch as we mentioned how it would be good if he could catch one and that was prepared. Anything we asked for they tried to make it happen for us! The welcome drink was fresh coconut water and the snacks were delicious onion pakode with coffee (or tea if you choose). We did the day trip from Kumarakom to Allepey and would highly recommend this company!

Such a wonderful experience going on a houseboat trip for the first time with Amrutham Houseboats. Very professional service right from the booking stage. The organiser made sure that we even knew about traffic on the route on the day. The houseboat was well-kept and everything was neat and clean. We were told about the houseboat route prior to the trip and were advised that we could buy fresh seafood on the way which they could cook for us, they made it so delicious! Even had a stop for fresh toddy which they graciously got for us. The lunch provided was just so yummy with freshly fried Pearl Spot. Rounded off the trip with banana fritters and nice tea. The team who accompanied us were wonderful. Would highly recommend to everyone and will definitely be choosing their service again.

Amrutam houseboat has been an outstanding experience for us. We had booked one bedroom and it was well equipped with all the facility of a hotel. Vishnu cooked excellent home based meals for us and Rupesh taught us the driving skills of the boat. They were very friendly, helpful and hospitable folks who reminded us how beautiful Kerala culture is. Houseboat experience was a highlight of our Kerala trip. The ambiance was superb, well maintained, imaculate. I highly recommend Amrutham House boat. The food was appetizing and the service was fantastic. Special thanks to chef. We enjoyed the food, non veg and veg, both were just delicious. The evening was everything more than we hoped it would be. Special thanks to the boy who was driving. We wish him a good future ahead. It was absolutely loveable and the food quality and taste was very good.. Anish and Manish the owners were very good Special mention for the special chef Mr. Bibin and the captain of our boat Mr. Jittu. They took care of us and gave us a very tasty food.
