The Kings Park Grand-Near US Consulate & US Biometrics - Hotel in Chennai - Chennai, India

We had booked this hotel for visa appointment. It is located at a close distance from both the biometrics centre and consulate. The rooms were small but clean, air conditioned with basic amenities such as water kettle and smart tv. The bathroom was clean as well. Breakfast buffet is served as early as 7 30AM. It includes a good spread of dishes mainly south indian. Room service is prompt and not overpriced.

Firstly the main prob is most of the people arrive by train or flight, which reaches earliest by 7 or 8 am. Till 11:30 or 12pm you will be made to sit in the lobby, extra rooms not available most of the times, hence early check-in is not possible. Rooms were quite small, for the price charged, the morning breakfast was not great, was expecting few eggs or maybe little bit on the continental side given the type of hotel and menu provided for room service. Only positive side is the distance to VAC is just 10min by walk. Overall an ok experience.

Good business hotel - mostly catering to folks who have US consulate appointments. Walking distance to the consulate and somewhat long walk to the biometrics center. Rooms are not big, but good enough for a one night stay. Bathroom was clean and service was prompt. Breakfast buffet was ok but very limited menu. Good eateries nearby. Charges are a little bit high, but I guess its the location.

Compact, cozy and well maintained rooms. Perfect if you are in Chennai for consular work. Price is on the higher side but expected because of the location. Breakfast was excellent. The only disappointment is the reception staff (I assume the night shift staff). They are unprofessional, extremely slow and keep you waiting while chitchatting among themselves.

Overall we had a great family experience, and we will definitely come again. Good: - Great location. - Plush decor, including bathroom fittings. - Very courteous and helpful reception staff. - Good value for money. - Room service food is quick and tasty. - Plenty of autos available right outside.

Pros- 1. Distance to the VAC and US Consulate is within a 10 min walk. 2. The bar restaurant had surprisingly good food 3. The room size is manageable for 2 people 4. Since the hotel is in the city centre, you will have explore during your evening stroll Cons 1. Breakfast is sub-par. We booked for 3 nights and there was absolutely no change is menu. 2. The AC duct releases a really foul smell. There is nothing that the hotel staff can do/will do here to help you out. 3. Service is slow- you will have to remind the staff that your rooms needs to be cleaned, towels to be changed, water to be replenished. 4. We did hear some loud music from the bar at ground floor, but since we were at 2nd floor it was manageable

If you are visiting for US Visa interview, the hotel is a good choice as it's walking distance from the embassy. There is a marketplace/ xerox shop 100 mts from the location. Their breakfast buffet was good and room was decent. I needed to work for a bit but the single room didn't have a chair/desk set up, housekeeping helped me with one. The receptionist however was not able to get me a room till 1.00 as he was struggling to get overstaying guests vacate, I had to argue and plead to get a room allocated, however had no further issues.

Had booked the room in 1st floor 3 weeks back in Aug. They have DJ with very loud noise whole night till early morning. Pillows n linens weren't clean. Breakfast is same all the days. Front desk are least bothered if the complaint is raised. Only if we raise ur voice action is taken and shifted the rooms. Please be cautious. Good part is it's near to consulate. Not worth otherwise.
