The Junction,Gangtok - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

The hotel's location is pretty good, the staffs are really very nice and helpful . The food quality is awesome . The rooms and bathrooms were also neat and clean . The rooms are very spacious. I should say that ( HOTEL THE JUNCTION)is one of the best hotel in gangtok, I have experienced. All must visit this hotel .

Good location, just near Ranka Taxi Stand, walking distance to MG road. Cooperative Staff. Super deluxe room was big, big windows, water too they give you in 5 litre cans, but linens were little shabby not very likable to sleep in. Breakfast was okyish. Good to stay.

I'll go in systematic way- Location- Walking distance 10 mins from MG marg Food- good taste, hygiene and healthy. Room size- size is little bit small but somehow it can be manageable.. Amenities- Good service there would be one person available for ready to check in services as u arrived at hotel. But,No room heater, (extra cost-300) No complimentary mineral water. Old model TV. No scene views room available.

One of the most unethical hotel in Gangtok. Visited this hotel with 3 members in 2017 and Booking was done online through make my trip application. Actually this hotel is not worth of giving even one star. Now kindly look at the points: 1. This hotel is very very far from the market (MG market) and from the taxi stand. The ambience is not at all good. 2. The hotel manager gave a very small room for 3 persons. And demanded extra money for allocating us to other 3 bed room even though, we have paied them through online portal while booking. 3. The service is soo poor that you will end up in frustration. The room and toilet were not clean they were filthy. Even for asking one bed sheet need to wait for an hour and same goes with tea. The food is foul and rubbish taste. 4. Wifi is soo weak that you consider there isit no internet, just rely on your 4G internet. 5. The hotel manager applied service charges on every thing even though it is abolished by Government still they were not ready to listen and said they do not oblige the Indian Govenment and you can do nothing. And the manager was obstinate on it. The manager was an idiot person. He misbehaved very very badly with foul words too. So in end, if you are really really not looking to screw up your Gangtok vacation then DO NOT VISIT THIS THE JUNCTION SCUMBAG HOTEL.

Junction has a great location, due to which they are full most of the time. I was travelling with my family for a 10 day Sikkim trip and stayed with them twice. My daughter fell I'll the second time and when I requested Dava at reception for a doctor, he immediately accompanied me to the Government hospital 2 minutes away from the hotel. At many such instances staff was very helpful and courteous. Both housekeeping and service staff was very professional and efficient. I would recommend a room on 1st or 2nd floor, as they don't have a lift. Just in case if you do get a room on 3rd floor like me, wake up around 4 am for a glimpse of mighty Kanchenjunga range. Food is good with the menu focusing on a standard menu avoiding any local delicacies keeping everyone happy. Though they do take special request for dishes not in the menu. Tip: apart from all the local famous destinations, do check out Paljor stadium, just 2 minutes walk from the hotel for a game of football. Cheers to a great vacation
