Pleasant. Architecture is good. Nothing much but you can spend some good quality time in fresh air, just sitting there. With a guide you will learn the history.
A good, historic place ... you should visit it if you want to do Mysore and surrounding site seeing. What could be better: Arrangements of Toilets and keeping shoes. Also, they should allow taking photos from inside which will help a lot ...
The most blessed and beautiful place reminder of the statement gidar ki 1000 din ki zindagi se sher ki ek din ki zindagi behter hain. Being blessed king for South india and india.
Gumbaz is a magnificent structure with a large dome, black granite pillars, and stone latticework. The walls inside are painted with tiger stripes, the symbol of Tipu sultan. The Gumbaz is surrounded by a Cypress garden and plants from various species of trees and plants from various countries. Next to the Gumbaz is a mosque, which was also built by Tipu Sultan.
Tipu Sultan, also known as the Tiger of Mysore, was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in India from 1782 to 1799. He was the eldest son of Sultan Hyder Ali of Mysore and his wife Fakhr-un-Nisa. Tipu Sultan is known for his military campaigns against the British East India Company, particularly the Anglo-Mysore Wars. He fought several battles against the British and was able to inflict heavy losses on them, but ultimately he was defeated in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War in 1799. Tipu Sultan was also known for his innovations and modernization efforts in Mysore. He introduced a number of reforms in agriculture, trade, and industry, and was particularly interested in developing the silk industry in the region. He was also a patron of the arts, and was known for his support of music, poetry, and other cultural pursuits. Despite his military and economic achievements, Tipu Sultan's rule was controversial, particularly with regard to his treatment of non-Muslims in his kingdom. He has been both praised and criticized for his policies and actions, and his legacy continues to be a subject of debate in India.
Very calm and peaceful place to go with a spiritual mind for whole family and individuals as well
Historical place were tipu sultans tomb is situated. Peaceful and calm atmosphere.
It's a very beautiful place. Very peaceful and serene. It wasn't crowded much. There is a tree garden where you can eat food with family and rest a while. The story of tipu sultan is AMAZING. And I felt kind of sad and overwhelmed at the same time(afterall it is a tomb of a great person). These places teach us valuable things. There are small shops of handicrafts and food around the tomb.
