The Driftwood Ladakh Leh - Resort hotel in Shey - Leh Ladakh, India

Staff is helpful and the hotel is clean. Rooms are good and bed is comfortable. They can do better for sure. Missing the finesse a bit. Food is really good. Location is a struggle. It helps to be closer to Leh town for late evening hangouts.

Had a lovely stay at Driftwood Shey. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, comfortable. View is great and it was quiet and peaceful. The peaceful location comes with a small disadvantage. It is far from the Leh City area. No restaurants/market area close to the hotel. So you have to rely on the hotel food only.

It is settled in a remote corner of the city. You would find hardly any street lights on your way, especially if you are coming at night. The next issue is that you only get hot water on both taps when solar panels are turned on. So, you always have to figure out a way to take a shower and that becomes unbearable for those who are not used to taking hot showers, particularly in the fall season. Lastly, their rooms don't have WIFI because of the heat insulators. To send a normal email you will have to come to their lobby to sit and work. Not ideal for those looking for workcations. Better to depend on your phone data. The rooms are good and spacious. At least the ones we booked were. Food rates may seem expensive to some. The staff was cordial.

Rooms were available but if you ask a club mahindra member to book a room for a non member, then the club mahindra phone support states that it's peak season & so rooms are not available. Bunch of cheats I should say

The rooms were spacious and the reception guys were very helpful as sometimes they didn't have power and we used to not get hot water during the allotted time it self, during which the reception folks helped us. I find it a scam - ((they provide travel booking to visit places in Ladhak.)) And the charge to go to Pangong Lake was 10,000/- which if we see they don't take us to the actual pangong lake that is 208kms (5hours 30mins) they take u to the first touch point of the lake and it is exactly 137kms (4hours) considering the road construction work! This is a ridiculous amount we paid for which I feel it's an absolute waste of money and be very much aware and ask them which point they will take u and ask them how much kms before booking from this resort. Otherwise, the team was a friendly team. Food was exorbitantly costly but tasty

Very helpful manager , excellent service , tasty food . But neither premises nor variety in buffet match club Mahindra standards .Food is overpriced for the standards. I wish I had directly booked into driftwood and saved on my club Mahindra holidays. Otherwise the staff are doing their best . Nice place with all the amenities uninterrupted power-supply, hot water, nice heating arrangements, etc. needed in this location. I visited in October, so these things mattered a lot for me n my family.

This is far from Leh in fact this is in Shetty. Food variety was not great needs improvement as this is not club Mahindra standard. Room required air circulation and became very hot in July.
