The Country Retreat Farmstay - Farmstay in Bankli - Pali, India

Amazing experience! We stayed at 'The Country Retreat Farmstay' with family for two nights as part of our 9 day road trip in Rajasthan. Krishna Pal has helped us plan the entire trip along with finer details. The farm house is extremely beautiful and well maintained. Let me try to give more details. 1. The rooms are huge, well furnished and decorated with handicrafts 2. Washrooms are huge, clean and well maintained 3. Food is simply amazing. We have been served with traditional Rajasthani food. 4. Farm is huge; you can walk around 5. The property is away from hustle bustle. Very quiet and peaceful. 6. There is a small and cozy swimming pool. Super fun with kids! 7. Two very friendly dogs. Lara and Jolly. Our kids had great time with both. 8. You should stay at least two nights for enjoying this place. 9. There is a good collection of books if you want to enjoy some quiet time reading! 10. The terrace is beautiful too! 11. The place is as beautiful as in the pictures posted by the owner! 12. Kids can do tractor ride and horse ride! Farm stay or home stay is more to do with the host. Mr. Krishna Pal has been a wonderful host. He accompanied us for all the meals; we discussed about Rajasthani culture, food and history. He took us around to nearby temple and for leopard safari. He ensured that we are comfortable throughout. Overall, this is probably the best vacation stay I ever had with my family. Thank you Mr. Krishna Pal for the amazing experience!

So where does one begin ? Google limits me to 5 stars. The place has no parallels. Truly an offbeat , surreal, tranquil experience. It began with a serendipitous phone call that connected me to the owner - Mr. Krishnapal Champawat, scion of the erstwhile royal family, abridged and called KP by those who get to know him. This one person single handedly took over all the wrinkles of our trip and smoothed them over. He guided us regarding route, stay, weather, details, places to visit, arranged for an awesome trip with a learned naturalist friend of his, kept checking on our health comfort and safety - even BEFORE we arrived at his property. Ours was a 10 day road trip to Rajasthan in the peak of the Diwali rush, and only because of KP ji, it became a memorable one ! My twins made a big scrapbook of the trip where they remembered him the most ! The stay at the Country Retreat Farmstay, Bankli was the last leg of our trip and I thank our lucky stars for that. We arrived to a green, beautiful, verdant farmhouse amidst acres of rolling farmland - peace and greenery as far as your eye can see . Not a sound save those that Nature makes ! The owner has this splendid mantra - it is a 120 acre farm and he can make dozens of ' rooms ' and rake in money. But he only hosts one family at a time and personally attends to them, every step of the way. I was truly floored. We were greeted warmly , like family. The rooms alloted to us were beautiful, neat , huge and cool. No air conditioner required because of the inherent coolness of the architecture, which is a big asset in Rajasthan. The furnishing and bed linen was ultra luxurious. The food - lipsmacking, home made, prepared with fresh organic farm produce. Awesome garlic naan, koftas, buttermilk, fresh veggies, dal baati - plentiful fresh food which was wolfed down by our twins ! Very hygienic and attentive staff. The farm is full of splendours of nature - a lovely cozy swimming pool, 2 lovely dogs - Lara ( saluki ) and Jolly ( rhodesian ridgeback ), Baadal the horse , a goose with a personality and hundreds of birds of all sizes and shapes. We slept peacefully, ate plentifully, walked a lot and spent family time . It was the highlight of our trip. KP ji organized a memorable nature safari, complete with mighty leopards, some awesome offroading and some scenic landscapes. He took us to caves, temples and spots only a local person and a nature lover would know about. We remember the sunrises as we trampled over the fields and the children got to know the world as God made it. Cotton plants, farmer huts, tractors , a big farm well, the joy of a true authentic farmstay. All this was made possible by meticulous planning and attention to detail by Krishnapal ji. We cannot thank you enough for what you have done for us. We will keep coming back, and until we do , we will keep remembering you. Thank you.;

This is one of the best experience when it comes to vacation - far from population, pollution and connection of outside world. You can enjoy the nature to its best with sunrise - sunset followed by lip smacking healthy food. The property is serene and peace-full with all required amenities. But the most important person is Mr. Krishnapal urf KP he made this place mind blowing by his modesty - gesture- humbleness and care. The worst part is he raised the expectations level so high that it wont get fulfilled any where else. Looking to comeback again

It was wonderful experience to stay at The country Retreat Fantasy.....It is same as shown in picture. We enjoyed a lots natural beauty of mountain and mouthwatering food. Owner Mr Krishnapal is very co-operative and staff is smiling and humble. We will sure visit in future.

Amazing property coupled with a great host. You can chill at the property enjoying nature, read while you laze on the couch, go out on a horse ride or trek to the nearest hillocks, you will never be out of choice. The property is also located close to Bera and Ranakpur and you can do day trips to these locations too. Make sure you spend atleast two nights at this fab place. Krishnapal the owner and the host goes out all the way to make your stay a memorable one. Staffs are courteous and great. Call outs: Yummy Rajasthani authentic food, Badal the horse, sexy pool, friendly dogs Lara & Jolly and an "unfriendly" goose I plan to visit again and for a longer one!

It's what I'd call the ideal weekend escape. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, located and surrounded by nature. This location gives you the most authentic experience of staying in a warm, friendly environment surrounded by beautiful vegetation and breathtaking views of the calm village surrounds. Rajasthani cuisine at its finest. It was one of the most enjoyable vacations I could have imagined. To summarize, it was a sense of being away from home yet still feeling at home. Mr. Krishnapal, the host, guarantees that each and every individual that visits is given a customized experience, yet you still don't feel like a guest. Thank you so much for making our holiday one to remember for a lifetime.

It's difficult to think where to start. Just like an oasis in the middle of a desert, this place really is in the middle of nowhere. Not really, but you know what I mean! This beautiful 120 acre farm has a unique charm to it. Our host Mr. KP Singh has beautifully converted a small part of his farm into a family retreat house/villa and it truly is a home away from home. He is energetic, welcoming, warm hearted, attentive to one's needs and above all treats each person visiting this place (which he calls home) as his personal guest and not just another customer. Although the food and accomodation along with other farm activities were great, The camp fires were the best part of our stay. My stay at least. We collectively called it THE BUSH TV. We sat around it for hours on end sharing stories and experiences sitting under the most beautiful night sky, pointing out constellations and individual stars. Whether it is a family Reunion or a simple getaway for a couple. I would definitely suggest this place.

For me this was once a lifetime seven star experience. Simple reason being the owner Krishnapal was with us all the time. In fact he was with us many days before we arrived. Helping with the general route map, how and when to locate the leopard, where else to stay etc. He was there to greet us. He was there every minutes till we departed. Sadly one night was not enough. This is a working farm with hundreds of working farms around us. You can see how large farms work. Meet the farmer families. Walk for hours if you want to. He took for a sunset walk up a big rock nearby. He took for a post dinner walk to a white rock nearby. Luckily it was full moon night. See the photos. Inside the farm stay the rooms and bath were fantastic. The verandahs, courtyards and gardens were lush green with trees and fruits. We changed our location between different meals. The food quality was outstanding. Tasty home made food. He discussed many days beforehand what we like and don't. The owner and host is helpful warm and a great company. The staff and cook were nice too. . Do enjoy if you visit.
