**The Beatles Ashram: A Step Back in Time**
In 1968, the Beatles traveled to Rishikesh, India, to study Transcendental Meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. They stayed at the Maharishi's ashram, which is now known as the Beatles Ashram.
The Beatles Ashram is a place of history and legend. It is where the Beatles wrote some of their most famous songs, including "Dear Prudence" and "Mother Nature's Son." It is also where they experienced a period of great personal and spiritual growth.
The ashram is located in a beautiful setting on the banks of the Ganges River. The grounds are lush and green, and the air is filled with the sound of birdsong. The ashram itself is a simple structure, but it is full of history and character.
Today, the Beatles Ashram is a popular tourist destination. Visitors can wander the grounds, take in the views, and imagine what it was like for the Beatles to live and work there. They can also learn about the history of the ashram and the Transcendental Meditation movement.
If you are interested in history, music, or spirituality, then the Beatles Ashram is a must-visit destination. It is a place where you can step back in time and experience a piece of the Beatles' legacy.

I hope you like it!
I have heard a lot about the Beatles Ashram "Wall Art" in Rishikesh, and I always wondered what makes it so special. So recently, I had the chance to visit it and experience it firsthand. I must say that the combination of nature and art there was on another level.
The ambiance was incredibly calm and peaceful due to the lush greenery and the soothing sounds of birds. I strongly recommend that everyone should visit the Beatles Ashram.
The place is situated on the banks of ganga river, 12KM from Rishikesh city. Need a paid ticket for entry.
It's perfectly suitable place to spend if you have half or full day in Rishikesh. The wall arts are a things of beauty and perfect combination of nature and art.
The place is calm and serene, offers you a calming relaxation by just walking around the ashram.
Must visit.
Visited the place during a weekday and it wasn't crowded. Secluded place apt for meditation. The place became popular after the famous Beatles band had stayed here. Currently the place holds remains of the buildings and its history. Must visit for scenic views and beautiful graffiti. Has a small museum and pictures from the 60s.
The Beatles Ashram in Rishikesh holds a special place in music history. It is a must-visit destination for Beatles fans, offering a unique glimpse into their spiritual journey and creative inspiration during their stay at the ashram. The serene surroundings and the remnants of their time spent here make it a memorable experience for music enthusiasts and admirers of the iconic band.
The place is awesome for photography as it has wonderful old freestyle paintings and nature at its best
The place is really nice but getting there is a bit of a challenge unless you are not prepared to walk long. If you are going from the main Rishikesh side, cross over the Janaki Setu (pedestrian only, on your way back there are some bike who provide shuttle rides across the bridge by charging 100 bucks) and take right immediately after getting down from the bridge. One needs to walk around 600-700 meters by the Ganges to get here. Otherwise if one needs to go there by car, then they need to crossover by Verbhadra bridge and take Neelkanth road which connects this place and the car then can go right upto the entrance of the place. Not recommended for elderly people with weak knee/lower back issues as this place involves a lot of walking and at some stretches really steep climbs.
This place is a unification of Western rock culture infused into the Indian spiritual plain. Beautiful place with remnants of old ashrams and arenas. It would take at least an hour and a half to explore the place properly. A must go to place if you are in Rishikesh, even if not a big fan of the Beatles!
Peaceful and vintage place!!. If u have interest in beatles or wall paintings then u should definitely visit this place. It is quite close to holy ganga river and JANAKI jhoola. After spending half an hour u might feel bored there as these abandoned caves are almost identical. The price of ticket is 150 per head. Do not carry heavy baggage with u.
A truly surreal and quite place for all the history enthusiasts who likes to explore places which have some historical events associated with them and like to explore abandoned places with good picture frames. You can spend a whole day here and never get satisfied and will crave to visit again.
